  1. For my Teas test I just studied the book from ATI and did the practice tests. There is no way to anticipate every question, but if you have done well in your classes you should be fine. Good luck!!
  2. Hi 2BUSY4ME, I decided to attend another program because it suits my needs better. I had no idea that they lost their accreditation either (so it didn't influence my decision)... As long as they have their accreditation now that is all that really matters. I don't really have any suggestions, except to find the program that is right for you. Good luck on the TEAS. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
  3. Hey, For any of you out there on the alternate list...I got accepted and am not going to attend FGCU. Good luck to all... and even those who didn't get in yet...you will... just be patient ..if nursing is what you want to do you WILL get into a program.
  4. binforda- I am taking the BLS for healthcare providers class where I currently live in Ft. Laud... You can find an available class by checking the American Heart Association website.. As far as the TB test goes you can get it from any healthcare provider most likely.. I got mine at the hospital where I volunteer. Let me know if you have any ?'s =)
  5. Thanks for the confirmation pjceaa and no... I'm brand new to USF... =) thanks for the advice though... and responding so fast !
  6. hey! LawyerGirl or pjceaa- do you know if our summer session is C? I'm just trying to figure out the dates our classes last until. I'm just thinking it's most likely summer c. Please let me know if you guys have any idea :) Thanks!
  7. Congrats on UM. The decision is purely up to you. I know one person that attended UM's accelerated program and she did not speak too highly about it... but that is her opinion only. Um does have a good reputation though...I don't know about that nursing school, so I couldn't say. As far as my stats go I have around a 3.5-3.6 I am a current volunteer at a children's hospital, and have had experience in other facilities as well(observing healthcare professionals), and a job as a respiratory tech. I say go to the school you want to go to.... but you have amazing grades, so I wouldn't worry... as long as you take that chem class you should be ok. Good luck with your decision =)
  8. As far as everyone on the alt list.. Congrats... you are almost there. Just be positive... You should be proud to have made the list. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!
  9. Sehsun - Thanks again for your response :) I'm very excited about USF and just want to find out all of the details as soon as possible. Other students have mentioned housing...but would you know an area where nursing students typically live?? I am going to look for a place in 2 weeks.
  10. Thanks so much! I appreciate you letting me know. USF seems to have an excellent program, but want to make sure I know as much as I can about it before it starts =) Congrats on graduating too!!!
  11. Sehsun- Thanks for all of your advice. I wanted to PM you, but can't quite yet. I really appreciate it... Also, if for any reason, let's say you don't do well in a class do they give you another chance? or do they really try to weed people out? Just curious, because some programs may let you drop to traditional if need be. Thanks again! and congrats to you on graduating!:)
  12. Thanks for the advice!! It really helps a lot to know what areas to look at and where to stay away from! Good luck to you at UCF!
  13. I agree with you! I could hardly sleep.. lol.. thanks =) I hope everything works out well for you too. Keep in touch
  14. Hey Lawyer Girl, Thanks for letting me know. No problem.. I will be looking for a 1/1 most likely... but the house idea sounds good too :0) I won't be in Tampa for a few weeks though.
  15. Sehsun- I see you are in the program now... and wanted to know if the professors prepare you well for the tests (even though I will be doing a lot of studying on my own) Do the teachers emphasize what you need to know or do they expect you to know everything? Would you you please PM me with any info. you think would be helpful? Thank you in advance :) Hope everything is going well for you!:)
