Anyone have any insight on this program? I'm in the process of applying and would love to know about the school!
I'm here now and am exploring trying to find out the same thing. I liked Carlton Arms North a lot. Korman Residential has lots of specials on two bedrooms, one of them being especially for USF students (waived appl fee and 200 off first months rent). There are LOTS of places near campus. Tomorrow I plan on venturing out a little.
Went to the general orientation and met i think 3 of our classmates. so far, everyone seems cool. I wish they had told us that we didn't have to be there the whole time ahead of time. oh well.
the campus was so huge! Suprisingly I didn't feel overwhelmed. It's a very attractive campus. I hope/think we might be just in our little corner. Hope that laurel parking or that area is also student parking.
So the general orientation was shorter than they said?? I'm going to the last one they offer on August 19th. Ahhh procrastination already! I'm getting nervous because I don't have a place to live yet. I am going to have to just pick a place quickly while I'm down there for orientation. I'm only going to be there the Wednesday night before orientation and then I'm leaving Sunday afternoon...not that much time!! I'm excited to meet all of our classmates :). I think its probably smart to pick an apartment that is going to be close to clinical, we have to be there very early in the a.m. I'm preparing to become more of a coffee drinker :)
LOL yes you did wait! We were dismissed at around 2pm. Very smart to live close to clinical. The problem is we don't know if that will be at Tampa general. Go to Apartment Hunters - Search for Apartments in Orlando, Tampa Gainesville with Apartment Hunters and create an account. They will do all the searching for you and it is free!
Well when I was down there to check out USF they told me that on Match Day we would know our clinical site. Tampa General is one of them, but they said that there will be 6 to choose from and that will be the hospital we will stick with the entire time. I think the VA is another of the choices as well as the University Community Hospital. Ugh I'm not going to be able to get my USF ID in time for orientation because I arrive too late on Wednesday. I hope they don't get too mad at me. That's the difficulty of living so far away!
