Anyone have any insight on this program? I'm in the process of applying and would love to know about the school!

So ummm... is everyone wearing regular clothes or dressing a little more fancy on thursday? I can't wait to meet everyone!

I'm not sure what to wear either..are shorts too casual? haha. I'm SO excited to meet everyone! Especially the people on here that I've been talking to :) put faces to names!

I was thinking the same thing! I fly down tomorrow and get there at 10:30 p.m..I hope there are no problems!!! I was thinking about just wearing jeans and a cute shirt or something not too fancy. I am so disorganized right now because I am currently moving from my apartment in Pittsburgh out to my parent's house for a few weeks before I move down to FL and I don't even know where half of my stuff is. Have you guys all found places to live? That's going to be my mission over the weekend. Can't wait to meet everyone!! Thisis definitely going to be one whirlwind year..:)

No I have not found a place (as in signed a lease) but I have narrowed it down.

I think I will also wear jeans and cute shirt.

Pita16, how close to campus do you want to live? This whole looking-for-housing thing has been EXHAUSTING!!!

Can't wait until tomorrow...

I know!! I am seriously exhausted because I've been looking for housing for weeks, all long-distance. I have a few ideas, there are 2 places close to campus I'd consider. Otherwise most of the other places that I'd be interested in were around a 20 minute commute to campus. I liked the Soho area when I visited, of course it's more expensive, but I like the more urban atmosphere. It would be close to Tampa General for clinical, however, it would just kinda suck driving that far to campus every morning. Other areas like Brandon and Carrollwood I saw nice places there but I have no idea about those areas. I am to the point where I'm just starting to care less and less.. I'm just nervous because I have such a short time to do this!

Brandon is a really nice area, but i'm not sure about carrollwood.

Soho is nice! It'd be a really cool place to live..minus the expensive-ness of it.

I went to Carrolwood yesterday and liked it... I have been to soho yet, maybe I should go today. That it the only thing about living in New Tampa, what if my clinicals are at Tampa General?

Wonder if we get to pick where we do clinicals or if they choose for us?

You get to choose your top picks for clinical, and based on where everyone in our class wants to go, you will probably get your 1st or 2nd pick, maybe 3rd. So I guess its easier for me and anyone who doesn't have housing yet to figure out where we should live once we get our clinical assignments. I just don't know whether I should choose Tampa general as #1 because it cements the fact that I'll probably have a longer commute to campus. Its a lot for me because Florida is soo different from where I live now, I don't even own a car!

well if we all live around the same area we could always car pool to clinicals! :) lol
