University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

Good luck everyone! I got a wild hair up my butt and applied at the last minute. Waiting on my verified email but it was all in last night. Fingers crossed!

I had an issue with a transcript and had to resend! Spent near 30 bucks to get it there through priority. Did this last Thursday and they haven't received it. I'm pretty upset. Just hoping my app makes it into the running ?

I didn’t see anywhere to copy/paste our application ID onto some of those transcript services, like parchment, so I fully expect the process will be slow with nursingCAS.  Is what it is, out of my hands now.

That’s weird! I was able to put it in pretty much all the online transcript services

Hi all! How long did it take for UF to receive your application after NursingCAS verified it?

Mine was verified at 1am on like 2/11 and I got UF's email around 9am the same day. I jsut assume it might be taking a little longer for those who are still waiting bc the deadline just passed and theyre probably playing catchup and I know they've been sending out undergrad acceptances/denials

NursingCAS verified 2/25 I got UF email on 3/1

Well it looks like I'm probably out of the running. There was an issue with a transcript. I had it prority shipped last Thursday they still don't have it and are telling me it's gonna take up to 10 days after they have it to verify everything. I'm so upset I've literally been working on this application since December. ?

Well.... nursingCAS just told me my transcript from the school I received my BSN from says that my Bachelor's degree was "not awarded" when I have my own personal transcript that says otherwise. I requested a new one be sent but it hasn't updated.... 

 

I am so annoyed by this whole process.

The hard deadline is April 1.  Don’t get discouraged yet.
