University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Nursing Students NP Students

Published

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

yup! I did. Got it about 2 hours after my application was verified!

Hey everyone! I applied to the PMHNP program (part-time). I got the email/notification from NursingCAS that my application was verified 2/25. I have not received an email from UF stating they received my application. Did everyone get this email?

I did but it took a day or two

Question, so if you submitted your app on nursing cas before the 3/1 deadline does that count as meeting the priority deadline requirement for uf? Or do you need it verified as well before 3/1?

According to UF's website: "Preference is given to applicants who submit all application materials by March 1, 2021."

In my opinion, NursingCAS will show the timestamp when you submitted the application and paid the fee. But now I am asking myself the same question since I didn't get an email from UF yet that they received my application.

I think it does. But if there are delays for any reason and they kick back your app, IDK that they will count it as submitting before the 3/1 deadline. NursingCAS says “to avoid potential delays, ensure we receive all materials at least FOUR weeks prior to your earliest program deadline”

I know I saw that last part in the email nursingcas sent when I submitted my app and they received it, but if that’s the case they should announce that some where so we know before ? because they only mention that in the email AFTER submission LOL oh well I’m just gonna go with that if I submitted before 3/1 I’m good ?

How long after submitting Nursing CAS did you get verified?  I sent mine in Feb 17th, still nothing yet, but UF already has all of my transcripts.

Were we supposed to submit transcripts just through NursingCAS or through the professional application as well? It didn’t say anything about submitting transcripts with the professional app

In my NursingCAS, it said "you do not need to enter any coursework for the program you selected".  UF has confirmation that all my transcripts are in, but NurCAS wants me to do it again through them?  If thats the case, I'm screwed and will perhaps miss the deadline.  The directions are so unclear.

I got the "verified" status within 24 hrs of submitting. I didn't enter coursework per NursingCAS directions but all of my transcripts were sent to them.

Just did all the transcripts...not a simple task.  4 colleges.  Hopefully, no kickbacks.
