Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

I'm not sure. Hopefully you can correct it asap and resubmit everything! Good luck!

Hi everyone!
So glad to found this thread... I am applying to the acute pediatric full time program. I will submit my application finally tonight, just had to polish my essay some more. All of my transcripts, references and everything else is in!! I'm nervous and excited. Question for everyone talking about nursing cas sending corrections...what does this mean? I know we are so close to the deadline and this made me super nervous!! please explain. thanks!

It should only take a few days, but if they see where something needs correcting, they kick it back for you to fix and resubmit before verifying the application and sending to UF.

oh OK makes sense!! another question if anyone knows... does nursing cas re calculate your gpas? or do they take the GPA on the transcript? my nursing school had a different grading scale than nursing cas' grading scale. thanks!
oh also did you guys do the video option or writing? just curious :P
OK I know I’m super last min because I wasn’t going to apply since I figured this app cycle would be packed but I began my app on Monday and have amazing references, experience, transcripts and my paper all done. I’m submitting tonight but the only transcripts I’m missing is the one from UF, apparently they only send by mail?? I’m curious if anyone else that applied and had uf in undergrad (I finish RN-BSN this Summer with them) had their app not be verified until all transcripts came in? I didn’t even know about nursingcas verifying apps until the last few comments ?
I submitted my application to UF back in January, but submitted Nursing CAS a week ago. UF already had my transcripts from undergrad, but I won't have my BSN done until July. UF encouraged me to apply in spite of not having my BSN done and would consider me contingent upon completion of the BSN. I have no official word yet. I submitted 2 essays, one for everything, then one for the video option section. I opted to write instead of making a video. I'm still "under review" for nursing CAS, but everything is complete and not kicked back to me as others indicated they had that happen.

What kind of corrections are they asking for, if I may ask? I feel like you already turned it in before March 1st and hopefully corrections aren’t counted as applying after March 1st. Ugh!
