University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

I got the "verified" status within 24 hrs of submitting. I didn't enter coursework per NursingCAS directions but all of my transcripts were sent to them. 

Wow that’s great! So all your transcripts were sent to NursingCAS only, not the professional UF app?

Same for me. I just sent my transcripts to CAS. For UF I only submitted the Graduate app and paid the fee. CAS sent me an email at 0102am on 2/11 saying my apps were verified and  I got my email from UF saying they got my application at 0909am on 2/11. Hope  this helps!

Does the March 1 deadline mean they want us to turn in our personal statement tonight, or can we still turn it in tomorrow?

I’d take it as they want all materials in by the end of the day tomorrow 3/1

Agreed, good luck to everyone. I got the UF email today and it says, "The Graduate Admissions Committee will begin the reviewing process after the March 1st deadline. Notifications usually go out via email as soon as decisions have been made sometime in late April or early May."

GUYS! I got an email from UF my app was submitted, complete, and was ready for review after march 1st. WHEWWWW! So relieved LOL

Like the comments above.. this is gonna be a looooong wait!

My app got verified today! Hoping UF receives it soon. I’m so excited, yet nervous as heck. 3.0 cumulative, 4.0 BSN, .. CCRN.. 2 years of critical care, 3 years overall experience. IDK what much I have to offer compared to others who’ve applied, but keeping hope and positivity. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!! ??

Now I’m just curious, does anyone know how many people they accept? I assume for each speciality it might vary, but I wonder how many applicants they accept for the FNP route?

 

Also does anyone know how much tuition is? LOL. Tbh if I got in idc how much it is but I was never able to figure that out LOL
