University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Published

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

Well it looks like I'm probably out of the running. There was an issue with a transcript. I had it prority shipped last Thursday they still don't have it and are telling me it's gonna take up to 10 days after they have it to verify everything. I'm so upset I've literally been working on this application since December. ?

They told me the same thing.  I emailed them about not having my application ID attached to my transcripts.  I got the 10 day speech, then 2 hours later, my transcripts were applied to my application.

Correct. They do not

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there was any chance in getting accepted with less than a year of nursing experience?

Hi! There’s always a chance. I applied with no experience. I have mentors and friends who got in with no experience. They look at you holistically and take into account volunteer experience, clinical experience, grades, work experience, your essay etc you got this!!

ahhhh Im so nervous guys!! the wait seems forever... I have 3-4 years of experience in teaching hospitals, level 1 traumas, etc in pediatric critical care and adults including travel nursing... volunteering etc and I applied to the pediatric acute care! got the essay, references etc but my GPA sits just above 3...im hoping I still have a chance!
