You should definitely ask them to reasses your file! They calculated mine wrong at first as well and if I didn’t ask them to correct it, I wouldn’t have gotten in!

@Euphoria but will one be able to get in without fulfilling all the prerequisites? I think comparable or literature English is among the prerequisites right? I ensured I checked with nursing department before I registered for the prerequisites courses with athabasca just to be sure it fulfills prerequisites required

@nursingqueen101 please who did you contact to get your file reassesed?

Almost all taken?

May I know your GPA? Hope we still have chance

My CGPA is pretty low 3.31. Already working on taking courses to boost CGPA. I've already applied to sept 2020 transfer route

Alright then forget all I said as the gpa for internal transfers is different. Is anyone here transferring from a different faculty at u of c?

Are you an internal transfer student? And what is your gpa if you don’t mind me asking? Hopefully they open up more seats by the end of this week because I would like to know ASAP. When I called them they said it should all be finalized by mid/end November.

Nooo. I'm not an internal student and my CGPA is pretty low 3.31. I already applied for the September 2020 and working on boosting CGPA

I took one writing course and one English course from University of Alberta which is the requirement for my previous degree (2 English courses or 1 writing 1 English). I got A- on writing and B+ on English. And they calculate the B+.

I also took A&P in Vancouver long time before and got one B+ one B. After I transferred to University of Alberta I took another 6 credits human physiology courses and got B+. They calculate my Vancouver course with lower mark which made me 3.52 instead of 3.59.

Not sure if they would consider my English writing course and the human physiology.

Wow. You have really done a lot. I suggest you contact them to reassess your file. I pray you get in, you have put in so much effort.

Yeah there out of the 25 seats for transfers, she said 17 are for internal transfers and the rest for external so basically if you are external you’re gpa really needs to be high.

I email them already to ask if they can reassess. Because 0.07 really makes a different. And take physiology course twice is really painful

Have you asked them what the likelihood of them going down to 3.52 would be? I'm at a 3.53 in the degree holder waitlist and seeing them go down to 3.56 is stressful!

I don’t know if this will help anyone but there are 38 seats left open. This is for both degree holder and transfer route. Still patiently waiting here.

Also I think there’s a portal update happening between November 8 to 11. So don’t expect to hear back between those dates!

Goodluck everyone!

I know! It is so stressful. They did not tell me. They just said check back frequently for any update
