Hello, I’m applying for the U of C degrees holder route for January 2020. Just want to say hi to other applicants. I applied on July 2nd and have not got any update on my application.

I am at 3.59 and still waiting. So I guess the current cutoff is 3.6?

I tried to call the nursing office yesterday 3:50pm and they already closed so I sent email. Hopefully I can hear something back.

Hey you might need to check it out because someone I know got in with a 3.58 but they’re an internal transfer student. So if you attend u of c in a different faculty and just transferring to nursing then you should have already gotten an offer. External transfers have less seats and therefor more competitive. Degree holders have more seats that both internal and external transfers.

I got an email yesterday from faculty of nursing because I requested I wanted to know my position on waitlist and if all the seats are taken. I was told almost all the seats are taken but they are hoping to open up more seats and they ll know this week or next week. So fingers crossed

Alright then forget all I said as the gpa for internal transfers is different. Is anyone here transferring from a different faculty at u of c?

Are you an internal transfer student? And what is your gpa if you don’t mind me asking? Hopefully they open up more seats by the end of this week because I would like to know ASAP. When I called them they said it should all be finalized by mid/end November.

How fast do they reply email? The waiting game is so painful or should I just call them

Took 3days. Don't bother calling they don't pick calls and they might or might not return voicemail

I applied through degree holder route and have a gpa of 3.68. I have yet to hear back from admissions on any update. Anyone else on the same boat?

I saw Luci from the forum got accepted with 3.68 GPA degree holder routine. So you should hear back soon.

Hello people.

Please what will someone with 2A- ,6A and a C in anatomy and physiology CGPA be? A friend wants to know her chances against transfer route for September 2020

Her CGPA turns out to be around 3.54. You can easily calculate it online by googling GPA calculator. That's for the 9 courses you listed but I think she needs to take 10 courses in total. As far as I know 3.54 GPA is not very safe this year, so to be on the safer side she should try her gpa closer to 3.7 if it's possible.

Thanks for your response. That's pretty low. Maybe 1 more A will help bring it up
