Hello, I’m applying for the U of C degrees holder route for January 2020. Just want to say hi to other applicants. I applied on July 2nd and have not got any update on my application.

im currently taking my pre-requisite in Athabasca. Can someone give me any tips pls on Eng 255(exam/assignment) and PSYC 228 . What should I expect for the exams. Planning on joining the 2021 Jan program. Thank you

Hi. For English 255 just try to do well in the assignments. Because the exam is almost same with all you have done in the assignments

For PSYC 228 after each unit make sure you go through all the long essay questions because the exam questions are taken from it. Word for word. Overall it's a very easy A if you study the text book. I was able to make an A in both eng 255 and psyc 228

Hello everyone!

If someone is having an issue with enrolling in the courses offered in the Winter semester, try to add all the four courses first and then enroll in them together at the same time. You can't enroll in those courses individually. Hopefully this helps!

May I ask how long each course took you to complete? Thanks for the advice

I did 3 courses simultaneously. Maths 215, eng 255 and psychology 228 completed all in about 3months.

Hey guys. Does anyone know how long it takes for their admission package to come in the mail? I got an email on Monday for the admission confirmation and I’ve been waiting for it since then. It’s Friday now and I haven’t received anything yet. Another question (I know this information might be on the admission package), what are the next steps after accepting your admission and paid the deposit? I want to do the all requirements asap. Thank you in advance for the advice!

I also have the same thoughts... I accepted it Monday and am still waiting for further documentation. Hopefully it comes soon! Congrats on getting in. I can’t wait to meet everyone ?

I was checking the junk folder in my email this morning and came across an email from the Faculty of Nursing (sent on Nov. 2). It had a lot more detailed info on everything we need to complete before the program starts, including a number of forms we need to sign and send in. It also said that they want all the required forms submitted by December 10, so not a lot of time. They mentioned they will mail the student handbook and schedule before the holidays.

Like I said, the email had gone to my junk/spam folder so definitely check yours if you haven't received it.

Hey guys! I was just wondering if someone came across the course outlines for the nursing courses. They usually post it for the past courses on the university of Calgary website, but I don't see anything for the nursing courses. I went all the way back to 2010, but found nothing. I am just curious about how the courses will be structured and stuff. Please let me know if you have them or if you know someone in UofC nursing who could send these course outlines. Thank You!

I was not notified if I am on the waitlist or not but I got accepted(degree-holder) yesterday. In my portal, it indicates that the due date of the $500 deposit is Nov 19. So I assume they will start contacting waitlist students after Nov 19, or when anyone declines the offer.
