Hello, I’m applying for the U of C degrees holder route for January 2020. Just want to say hi to other applicants. I applied on July 2nd and have not got any update on my application.

Please what is the difference between transfer route and degree holders route. I've been put on the transfer route waitlist although I applied to the degree holders route.
The transfer route is for students who have not completed a degree. Degree holder route is only for students who have completed their degree. If you do have a degree, I would suggest calling admissions to discuss why you were put on the transfer route waitlist!

If you look under the "Current Students" tab on the Nursing website, it has the student handbook which gives more information on what we need to do before January. You can get started on these tasks now, even without the admissions package. We have to get a record of our immunizations, proof of an N95 mask fit test, and the police information check.
I also wasn't able to enroll in classes at first either, even though I had accepted the offer and paid the deposit. I ended up calling admissions and it turned out that they hadn't fully processed my payment, so I hadn't been moved from an applicant to an actual student in their system. The finished processing the payment and the next day my portal looked completely different, and I was able to enroll in the courses. It might be worth a phone call to admissions if you're having this same issue.

Thank you. According to the evaluator, going by how my foreign degree and athabasca university prerequisites I took it all comes to 2.5years. So it's considered incomplete.
Is transfer route different as regards the number of years one ll spend in completing the program and is the syllabus different from degree holder route

Yeah, I will call them because I paid them the deposit long time ago and on myuofc it says that the deposit is paid. Thank you!

Yes, see here https://nursing.ucalgary.ca/future-students/undergraduate/curriculum
There is a 4-month break between term 6 and term 7 for transfers, whereas degree holders go through without a break.

You need to book a N95 fit test with one of the local companies (for example, Eisan consulting https://www.eisanconsulting.com/).
For vaccines, you need to obtain a document from your birthplace and translate it. If you cannot get such documentation, you'll need to repeat the vaccines.

Yes, the U Calgary Student Wellness Services (https://www.ucalgary.ca/wellness-services) located on the 3rd floor of the MacEwan Hall (the building with the food court and book store) can provide the vaccines. They will also sign and update your faculty of nursing vaccination sheet. There are costs associated with the vaccines, but I cannot remember how much.
