Hi everyone! I am taking the prerequisites I need to apply to the University at Buffalo ABSN program, to hopefully start in May 2021. I was wondering if anyone has any idea which types of applicants tend to get in (what kind of experience they have, etc.), and how much they value healthcare experience. Any input at all about the program is greatly appreciated!

It says “NOC” but if you go to the Prerequisites page for UB’s ABS program, at the end it says “NRS999PMYTR” under Transfer Equivalencies. so I’m hoping that means it might transfer in or else I’ll just have to take it directly at UB in the Spring.

I would just ask. I would hate to have someone waste their money and find out they are missing a prereq. If you find out you can use it to fulfill the requirement, can you let me know?

Yeah I will! I just emailed Julie earlier so hopefully I’ll know sometime tomorrow and it’ll be some good news!

Last I checked they weren’t enrolling non-matriculated for Spring yet but I’ll check again tonight. I’m taking that and patho at Erie in the Spring. I’m local but I got waitlisted - congratulations to you all!
I thought you needed a bunch of Nursing courses done before you can take the Pharm course? Can we take it without?

I went under Search By School and Geneva College. And if you go to the Prerequisites page for UB’s ABS program, at the end it says “NRS999PMYTR” under Transfer Equivalencies.
