Hi everyone!
I thought it would be beneficial to start up a thread for those who applied to the UofA After Degree program for 2015. I noticed that one hasn't been started yet.
I applied to the program but I am still waiting on a reply. Has anyone heard back from admissions as of yet?
All the best to everyone!!!
Congratulations! !
Can I ask a question?
Is your degree international or from Canada?
Mine is international and I'm afraid it could affect admission decision
Nursing advisor said it takes mre time to evaluate international degree.
My gpa is a bit over 3.6 and applied way early but still pending.
I'm hopeless now I don'tknow what went wrong.
Am I missing something?
Does any body else know any news?
My degree was from Alberta but I got my acceptance email the day after my final transcript was entered. Don't be too discouraged, the document deadline has just passed and when I was picking classes they were only about 65% full. I imagine they can't drop the acceptance AGPA until they have everyone's final grades entered and my final grades were only entered Wednesday.

Candice, did you ever hear back from them? I want to apply for next year but am not sure how it will work with a US degree. I will apply to U of A and the US for the one year Accelerated BSN or Accelerated MSN.
Let me know how everything turned out for you:)

Hi there!
my status is still pending.
I tried to contact those at the nursing office but no one was there.
I don't have any helpful info except for my online status.
What is frustrating is the real reason that I 'm not qualified (age or degree or else).
I even got to think that they guess my age (39@@) is not competitive compared to other 20's or early 30s applicants or my degree is statistics (not bio)
I 'm very sorry that I can't give you tips that are helpful for you.
I only applied to U of A so my chances were slim.
But if you try with more options, good luck with you next year.
For those of you that have been accepted, what is your vaccination "status"? I found out a few days ago I got accepted but I think i will need all 3 Hep B vaccinations but the dosing schedule is 1 month between Dose 1 and 2, and then wait another 5 months between Dose 2 and Dose 3. At this rate, I don't think I would have all three done in time for the clinical course. Does anyone have any insight as to whether or not they will make some allowance for students who have had 2 out of the 3 doses?
this is the email to ask about the health and safety stuff she's pretty quick at answering

Congratulations on your admission. What was your AGPA? I have 3.4 and I haven't heard from them
