I applied to the UU ABSN program for Fall 2019 at the Germantown location. Is there anyone else that has applied to this program? It will be 2 weeks Thursday since they notified me that my application had been received and under review. I am just currently playing the waiting game.
Is there anyone in the program currently that has any pointers on anything? I was told classes are Monday-Friday 8-5.

Hi! I’m not applying to Germantown, but I am applying to Hendersonville for the fall of 2019. I know priority deadline to apply is March 1. I’m still working on my Nursingcas application. I don’t suppose I have many pointers, but I have already been a student at Union for a couple of years.

Hey!! I just applied (Hendersonville) and will be taking my TEAS Feb 1st (Nursingcas said i could submit my application and add TEAS score later to expedite the Transcript verification process ) UU doesn't start processing your application until your transcripts have been verified on Nursingcas.
do you mind sharing your stats? I'm so worried about the average GPA for those who have been accepted into the program. also, can you post when you have finally heard back? i'm curious to know how long it takes.

I’ve been accepted into the program in Hendersonville, TN for Fall 2019. I also posted a forum with questions ? I have so many! Prayers go out to those who have applied ?
@Mleigh84 Congratulations!! i have a couple questions.. how long did it take for you to get your acceptance after you applied? did it take more than 2 weeks for NursingCas to verify your transcript? and do you mind sharing your stats for last 60 GPA?
I think it took a few days after I applied to get an email asking to accept a seat and pay a non-refundable $600 to hold my seat. As far as Nursing CAS... they have taken months to weeks to verify. All depending on when their “window” of verification falls, make sure you get all coursework grades submitted before their cutoff dates. Otherwise, they won’t verify til their next academic “window.” My last 60 hrs ended being a 3.6 at least.
Everything is going to work out and you’re going to do great. I’ll be praying for you ?
@Mleigh84 I literally just got an email saying they have finally verified my transcripts. I guess I got lucky because I submitted my application 6 days ago. now, I'll be waiting to hear back from Union or whether I've been accepted or not.
That’s so awesome! I’m so excited for you ?
Anyone who has accepted a seat can join the Facebook group “Union University BSNA Fall 2019 Hendersonville Cohort 16”
just a common place to connect and build community with each other ?

Hello everyone,
I received my conditional acceptance for Union University ABSN Fall 2019! I have also applied to Marian University. I was wondering if anyone could give me insight on the program at Union as I am unsure which school I would want to attend. I would be coming from Arizona!

Congrats! I was also accepted to Union today! I spoke with admission reps at Marian several times and strongly considered applying there. I decided not to though, because all of their lectures are online. From what I understand, the only time you meet with professors or classmates face-to-face is for clinicals. While it is convenient to have the lectures online at times that work for you, I prefer classroom interaction and the ability to build relationships. I just think so much learning comes from that itself.
I also considered NCLEX pass rates. Union's NCLEX pass rate was 96% in 2017, whereas Marian's was 89%.
Marian requires more pre-reqs than Union (Chemisty and two theology courses). It is also significantly more expensive once you matriculate. If the tuition rates posted are accurate, Marian's tuition for the program is $51,975 and Union's is $37,485.
Have you visited the area? Marian's "campus" is located inside Saint Thomas West (a hospital), which is a nice area of Nashville, but cost of living in that area is higher than where Union is located in Hendersonville. Hendersonville is is a cute suburb and not far from Nashville.
@PNinTraining Thank you so much for your response! I have spoke with Marian a few times as well but not with Union at all. I have not seen either campuses, I just have family in the Nashville area.
I did notice the NCLEX passing rate yesterday.. Do you know what the class scheduling is like at Union? Or how students do in either program after graduating in terms of a getting a job? Are the credentials differ between the schools?
I think I am going to call Union and have them sell themselves to me haha
