  1. At the open house in October, did they provide admission rates in the info book? I went last year and they gave us those numbers, but I could not go this year. Just curious how many prespecialty students applied last year vs. how many were accepted. Also, did it have the wait list stats?
  2. Thanks, @Mleigh84! It looks like that page isn't a group, just a page. Are you able to turn it in a group that can be joined?
  3. There are some resources online such as this curriculum calendar. It doesn't specify days of week or times though. https://www.uu.edu/programs/nursing/bsn/accelerated/curriculum/Hendersonville_Fall_BSNA_cohort_curriculum.pdf They're accredited by CCNE. You can search for accredited schools here: https://directory.ccnecommunity.org/reports/accprog.asp. If you give them a call, I'd love to hear what they tell you. ? I spoke to them back in the fall and don't remember if they told me about employment rates or anything of that nature.
  4. Congrats! I was also accepted to Union today! I spoke with admission reps at Marian several times and strongly considered applying there. I decided not to though, because all of their lectures are online. From what I understand, the only time you meet with professors or classmates face-to-face is for clinicals. While it is convenient to have the lectures online at times that work for you, I prefer classroom interaction and the ability to build relationships. I just think so much learning comes from that itself. I also considered NCLEX pass rates. Union's NCLEX pass rate was 96% in 2017, whereas Marian's was 89%. Marian requires more pre-reqs than Union (Chemisty and two theology courses). It is also significantly more expensive once you matriculate. If the tuition rates posted are accurate, Marian's tuition for the program is $51,975 and Union's is $37,485. Have you visited the area? Marian's "campus" is located inside Saint Thomas West (a hospital), which is a nice area of Nashville, but cost of living in that area is higher than where Union is located in Hendersonville. Hendersonville is is a cute suburb and not far from Nashville.
  5. Since they have received so many calls, maybe they're just having fun by giving everyone slightly different answers. I'm sure someone in admissions keeps an eye on this board. Hang in there! We'll all know soon.
  6. I'm not positive. I'm just going off of what was sent in the financial aid email and what I read from last year's thread. I presume the $7,000 is merit based and you do not have to apply separately.
  7. I think it is annual based on the thread from last year. The financial aid email sent in January also made it appear that the scholarship is annual.
  8. $7,000 was the amount that most people got last year according to the 2018 thread.
  9. If I remember correctly from the open house, they admit approximately 25 PreSpecialty PMHNP students.
  10. Since VUSN has applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds, including recent college grads and non-traditional students returning to school after having successful careers, I'm not sure comparing stats will give you much insight. Based on what they said at the open house, they put a lot of weight on the essays and references. It would be really hard to compare yourself to the other applicants even if you did have their stats without seeing their essays and references. Like Teddy Roosevelt said, "Comparison is the thief of joy." I'm sure you're a good applicant if you have applied to such a great program.
  11. I am finishing my pre-reqs through Portage Learning. It is affiliated with Geneva College. Microbiology has the lab component. The courses are self-paced, so you can finish in just a few weeks. They are very affordable, and the admissions office confirmed that they accept credit from there.
  12. @cmascolo Have you heard from the yet? I also plan to apply to UU in the coming weeks. Have you already taken the TEAS test?
  13. I submitted my application by the priority deadline. On the application, the status says "submitted." What does your app status say if you've been told that it is under faculty review?
