Hello. I am hoping to get into UNF for the summer of 2011. I have taken the TEAS and am taking all of the pre-req courses. I am curious what other people got on their TEAS V and what their Pre-Req GPA is that are also trying to get into the accelerated program this summer. Also, any ideas on what the group interview will be like and what questions will be asked?
Paco, I was also bummed I didn't get to meet you! That sign sure would have been helpful!HM2Doc, I think I was in your group! Me = White cardigan and pearls.
Well, two of my friends got their letters today. Mine didn't come. I am even more nervous than I was before the interview.
Good luck to you guys and to everyone!
Yep, i remember you. I thought you did very well in the interview. Hope you get an acceptance letter as well! Good luck! :)

LOL ... that sign would have gone over well :) Well, since you were in HM2Doc's group, we were not that far away, I was in the group right next to yours! Shame there was no way to tell ... I had the goatee
I didn't get in either. I think it might be my low teas score.
SarahBanana, you can email me @ [email protected] if you want to get ready for fall term together. :)
I do not want to say it.. but it was 80, and I had 4.0 GPA.Did you guys get the question about integrity during the interview? I know it will be the one of the question, but I didn't really prepare for the answer. If you did, how did you answer for the question??
I recall someone in my group answered the question not really knowing what integrity meant, you can just tell by the way she answered. I will however never know whether or not she got in to the program since she was a traditional applicant and I am going for the accelerated. I remember talking about an instance in a previous job where I was deliberately asked to do something unethical by my superior and I refused and I ultimately ended up losing my job because of that - but that in hindsight I don't regret my decision because I left with a clean conscience of knowing I will always choose to do the right thing.
Was that a good answer? I thought it was. I am still waiting for my decision letter, it will likely arrive later today considering I live farther from JAX than everyone else that already know.
Don't lose hope because you did not get in ... I did not get into the one program I applied to last year, but this year I have choices. The right opportunity will come your way!
I gave a scenario from when i was working in Guam as a surgical technologist. One of my sailors came in still drunk from the night before. I questioned him about it and he, and our coworkers, said he was fine. He obviously was not fine. He hadn't even made it home to shower, smelled of alcohol, and was still somewhat inebriated. We were all pretty close so most of our coworkers said let it slide, and that he was fine to go scrub in on his case. I didn't agree. I reported him to my supervisor. I told the interview panel that i couldn't knowingly let this person scrub in on a surgery and potentially injure, or kill, a patient. My job was to protect the patient, and i did. I told them i thought of it as looking at the patient as if it were one of my own family members, would I want a drunk operating on them? Never.
So, that was my integrity check answer. After being pressured by my friends and colleagues to let someone off the hook, i had to keep to my principles and do what i felt was the right thing for myself, the hospital, and the patient.
Hello! I am new to All Nurses. Congratulations to everyone who was accepted! I just received my acceptance to the Accelerated program for this summer. Very excited!
To answer the above question, my TEAS was 93.3% and my integrity answer involved an issue with a coworker. I was sure to include the moral and social lessons I learned from the outcome of the conflict, ultimately making my experience positive.
