UNF Summer 2011 Accelerated BSN Hopeful

Hello. I am hoping to get into UNF for the summer of 2011. I have taken the TEAS and am taking all of the pre-req courses. I am curious what other people got on their TEAS V and what their Pre-Req GPA is that are also trying to get into the accelerated program this summer. Also, any ideas on what the group interview will be like and what questions will be asked?

Paco, you are fortunate to have alternative options. I do not and I did not get invited to attend and will have to apply for Fall 2011 at UNF. I will apply to other schools this time.

Thanks marycnew, it DOES make the bitter pill easier to swallow. I applied to one school last year and was waitlisted, it was a horrible experience. Backups made things a whole lot easier!! Good luck to you in your quest!! :)

Well, not upset at all, makes my decision a lot easier ... 2 other schools want me, so there :p

You never know ... we could end up working at the same hospital :D Wouldn't that be a hoot? Will let you know where I end up! Thanks for all the good vibes! I truly feel what's meant to be for me is what's happening right now. I don't regret having pursued all these opportunities at all :)

PACO - what was your ranking on waitlist?? Where else did you apply?? I applied UNF, UCF (Regular), USF (ACC), FSU (Regular).. and still waiting to hear from other schools.

I'm sorry, goknights. Are you going to reapply for the fall semester like marycnew? You already have a great GPA and TEAS score, and the interview should be much easier the second time around. Don't give up!!

On the UNF waitlist? The letter specifically says "regretfully, we cannot reveal to you your rank on the list." Yeah, the freaking limbo, it's awful ... but I am glad I don't have to wait around for them to find me space, if they ever do. Other than UNF, I applied and got in to 4 other ABSNs: UCF, Stony Brook, Drexel, and U Miami. I also applied to Cochran, a small ADN program in Yonkers, NY but when I got into the ABSNs I withdrew my application. I was supposed to interview with them next month but figured it was not necessary.

I can't believe I forgot to post here yesterday. I got in to the accelerated program...I also got into UCF accelerated, so I have a big decision to make! Tonight my husband and I are having one last discussion about which school I should attend, and I will be either emailing Beth tonight letting her know that I'm with UNF or I will continue with UCF (already sent back the preliminary acceptance). I'm still very torn about which school to attend :(

P.S. I will be getting an apartment in either Jax or Orlando for during the week, so I will be looking for roommates in the program!
