UNF Summer 2011 Accelerated BSN Hopeful

Hello. I am hoping to get into UNF for the summer of 2011. I have taken the TEAS and am taking all of the pre-req courses. I am curious what other people got on their TEAS V and what their Pre-Req GPA is that are also trying to get into the accelerated program this summer. Also, any ideas on what the group interview will be like and what questions will be asked?

On another note, i really wish UNF had a list on their website that listed the criteria they were grading candidates on during the interview. Like a sample score sheet. I know it's a "just be yourself" interview, but i would like to know exactly what it is they are looking for in a UNF nursing student.

That would prob defeat the purpose of the interview. I think they do it the way they do it so that the shining stars are more evident. Those that really deserve to be in the program will have prepared accordingly and their passion would be more concrete. I think with a score sheet as you suggest, there would be more focused preparation and canned answers and it would be harder to differentiate between candidates. That's my thought.

Oooh, just realized it's about 2 weeks away :eek: .... yikes!

Yes, that would make for an overly prepared interviewee. It's just that the interview counts for so much and i want to increases my chances of being accepted as much as possible.

I know what you're saying, you want to make the best impression. There are going to be candidates there that will sound scripted I am sure, I don't want to be one of those; I want to sound relaxed and I believe I am able to impress with just being myself. Lord knows I have been on enough interviews to feel comfortable with it. And since we won't know what questions will be asked, I just hope we don't end up giving a nonsense answer like this Miss Teen USA contestant did several years ago:

Yeah, i was in the same room, group 2. I was probably the only redheaded male out of 150 applicants.

Oh that was you? Mr. Shiny Shoes!! LMAO! :lol2: I remember noticing how good they looked. There weren't that many of us in there. If you saw a goatee, you saw me :D ... shame we did not know we were in the same room before now, I would have personally wished you luck!! :up:

I posted on the other thread my experience with the interview. Went well I think, but hard to say how results will go. Everyone there was quite good!
