Hello everyone! I may be a little early with this, but here's a new post for all of you hoping to apply this September 2nd for the Spring 2015 semester at UMSON. You can post questions you have, helpful advice you would like to give (if you're already in the program), etc.

I specifically have a question for those who have already applied to the Spring 2014 semester and got in. When you applied last September, when in November did you get your acceptance letter in the mail? Was it the beginning, middle, or toward the end of November? I'm asking this because the other nursing school I am applying to only gives a 3-week time period after the end of October (when they let you know if you made it in or not) to accept or decline enrollment. So, if I don't make it into UMSON, I'd want to be able to give this other nursing school an answer before the 3-week time period runs out.

Vigor145 I was told that we send proof of payment and once they receive that, that they will set up proper communications to give us info about what we need to do next and how etc. All we can do now is wait for the letter. I'm so excited to start the process!

Hey Everyone,

I am still waiting as you all know. Looking at last year’s posts, I understand the wait can even be longer than few days. So I am asking those that are accepted and have joined the FB page to tell us how many people are in the Shady Grove and Baltimore campus so far. It will give us a little perspective on how many spots are still open. And for those that are still waiting like me, hung in there and let us keep on updating each other.

For those that got accepted so far, I am so happy and proud that some of us at least got in. Keep on supporting each other, you will need it all through the nursing program.

The acceptance letters take a while to go out. You may not receive them until later this week. I can't remember how long it took last year, but it was a while. They tell you EVERYTHING you need to know, in the packet.

hey hopeful 2015 -- so far, there are 23 members in the fbook group (shady grove +bmore combined). does anyone know how many spots there are for each campus??? but also note that there might be accepted students who haven't joined the fbook group yet/don't have fbook.

40 for Shady Grove/80 for Baltimore, according to the website. However, who knows how many have been accepted and aren't on AllNurses and/or Facebook. There's really no way to tell.

Thanks happymochi and hegster for the response. You are right there are some who doesn't have FB or simply did not join yet. I think I heard at the open house there are around 48 and 88 spots for Shady Grove and Baltimore respectively.

hopeful 2015 don't lose hope! I'm sure Admissions probably has more acceptances to work on. :)

Haha and thanks fffnpsp15 and happymochi! :D Sorry I haven't responded earlier, was busy doing birthday preparations over the weekend! I'm a hardcore birthday decorator/planner haha! :laugh:

Still waiting here, too. On the up side, it will change soon, whether it's hours or days. Regardless of the outcome, at least we'll know soon!
