Hello everyone! I may be a little early with this, but here's a new post for all of you hoping to apply this September 2nd for the Spring 2015 semester at UMSON. You can post questions you have, helpful advice you would like to give (if you're already in the program), etc.

I specifically have a question for those who have already applied to the Spring 2014 semester and got in. When you applied last September, when in November did you get your acceptance letter in the mail? Was it the beginning, middle, or toward the end of November? I'm asking this because the other nursing school I am applying to only gives a 3-week time period after the end of October (when they let you know if you made it in or not) to accept or decline enrollment. So, if I don't make it into UMSON, I'd want to be able to give this other nursing school an answer before the 3-week time period runs out.

i'm still waiting too. hopefully today is our day!

Waiting as well... I was wait listed last semester and people found out they were accepted April 1st and I didn't find out I was wait listed until May 3rd. It can be a long process, but hopefully no one will have to wait as long as I did for my admissions decision last semester. Good Luck to all and Congrats to those who all received a call/status change

Does everyone get a call?

To my understanding from last semester, all accepted students will get a call. All other students are just notified online. I never go a call last semester.

Thank you kmorreale. My status changed online already so I'm hoping to get a call soon. I have to notify another school since UMSON is my first choice. I want to wait for the call because it still doesn't feel real lol.

@amandac21 do you mind posting what your scores and gpa were? I'm freaking out and would like to compare

Heh guys, I know I said I'd check at 5... but that ain't happening! Checking non-stop!

Oh my goodness kmorreale, I hope we don't have to wait that long either. I'd guess it's likely though if we don't hear by the end of this week, the news won't be good. I'm hopeful until Friday though!

How terrible would it be to hear either way on April 1 though? That's the worst day to notify folks either way! How funny!

People heard they got in later than the first week last semester too! Never loose hope!

Everyone doesn't receive a call. I never received a call when I was admitted to the traditional program two years ago or when I was accepted this year. My status changed and I received a letter in the mail.

Not at all. My GPA at the time was 3.45. (I'm taking Medical Terminology right now, not required but thought it would be helpful. so my GPA now is 3.47) My TEAS adjusted individual score is 78.0%. Reading 85.7%, Math 63.3% (which I'm embarrassed about because I thought that was one of my strong areas), Science 85.4%, English 70.0%.

I also received an email now I think about it. Just following up on the letter and telling me the next steps. The email said that they attempted to call though and left a voice mail if they didn't reach me. I didn't receive a voice mail though so I'm guessing it was an automated admission email.
