UMSON Spring 2015

Hello everyone! I may be a little early with this, but here's a new post for all of you hoping to apply this September 2nd for the Spring 2015 semester at UMSON. You can post questions you have, helpful advice you would like to give (if you're already in the program), etc.

I specifically have a question for those who have already applied to the Spring 2014 semester and got in. When you applied last September, when in November did you get your acceptance letter in the mail? Was it the beginning, middle, or toward the end of November? I'm asking this because the other nursing school I am applying to only gives a 3-week time period after the end of October (when they let you know if you made it in or not) to accept or decline enrollment. So, if I don't make it into UMSON, I'd want to be able to give this other nursing school an answer before the 3-week time period runs out.

Thank you for all your well wishes everyone!!! Esp littlemango :-) I was sitting on my couch............I had just sent my husband to the store for some bleach when I updated my status. When I saw it, I screamed..............then ran out in the street in flannel pajamas (off work today b/c of election) waving my arms, jumping up and down......hoping he'd stop!!!! I am still shaking typing this. Between my husband and all of you, I would have gone CRAZY these past many, many, many weeks if you weren't there for support. And to each of you I am grateful. I will say my prayers for each of you on your admittance and will keep checking these boards for some more good news!

Hey guys! Congrats to everyone who has already gotten in!!!!! I have been watching this forum and it has been so helpful but have yet to post. I haven't received a phone call yet but my status just changed on my application and I was accepted into the Baltimore campus! I'd definitely recommend checking the status on your application because it seems like they started updating those before phone calls! Good luck to everyone waiting to hear I can't wait!!!

I'm thinking just one for both campuses cause I'm sure well have the same questions and its good to get to know each other anyway! Same program afterall!

congrats to everyone! and I don't think they have "office hours" so I think it could change whenever. Mine changed and I got the call on a Saturday lol

It says their office hours are weekdays 8-5 so I am surprised people are posting still well after 5. I am still checking my status lol.

I think they put in extra hours to contact people during this time. They said the letters will be out this week and I'm sure they wanna call people first!

And my status still hasn't changed even though I received a phone call. Hmm - I don't think I was dreaming this morning .

I wonder if different people in admissions are given groups of applicants to notify and some update the online system first, while others call first...
