My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys, I am Chinar and new to this page. But I also applied to UMSON for the Spring 2016 semester at the baltimore campus. I haven't heard anything back yet and I am freaking out. For those of you that got it, Congratulations! I hope I can see you guys there next. Fingers crossed!
And also, I wanted to know if you guys had any information about the 2+2 program? I heard they have to meet a certain amount of people from different community colleges before they can accept people from the 2+2 program? Anyone have any information on that? I am so anxious that I cannot even sleep.
Aww congrats on everyone who got acceptances!! I woke up out of the blue and checked the forum I guess had a feeling many others got accepted :) Unfortunately, I'm still at Committee Ready and trying to stay optimistic, but my confidence gets dimmer as time progresses. Again, congrats to everyone (esp astran!, marebear and I seem to be waiting on our decisions still ).
I have to go to UMB this morning because I'm getting dental work done at the dentist school... I'm half tempted to find their office and demand they tell me if I'm in or not lol obviously I would never, but a girl can dream right?

Who knows? Probably :/ I wonder if they see that your application was transferred from last semester... Your wait must be even more agonizing, cmblanc. I hope we hear back today!
It's so sad after seeing more people get accepted real early this morning, I fell back asleep and dreamt that I got accepted but then I remember thinking in my dream that it was just a dream and being so bummed out. Haha. I really do hope more decisions come out today so I can stop being so anxious and either 1) Move on with my life and find other options or 2) Start nursing school in the spring.
@kayrock I completely understand how your feeling! I haven't heard back either and when I saw the acceptance posts this morning I practically ran to my laptop to check. Unfortunately I'm still "committee ready":( at this point I feel like I'll never hear back, but I'd at least like to know something even if I don't get in so I can, like you said, move on with my life!
I know! Please just tell me I didn't make it already, instead of letting everyone else know they have made it first lol its like when you are playing a game and a team captain stands there picking out the best players from a group for their team.. "I'll take you, aaaand you, and hmmmm let me see..." and your standing there while people around u get picked for the team ughhhhhh
HAHA nice comparison, marebear82189. But seriously, I know I was always the last one picked for basketball back in middle school but come on now! If I'm not a candidate for your nursing school just let me know straight up so I don't hold onto false hope!
But negative nancy aside, I'm still hoping that we all will hear back with good news. It's just nice to let off some steam on here where others are still in the same position :)
Chinar37, I know that the 2+2 program involves UMSON and UMCP + UMBC... but unfortunately I don't have any information regarding community colleges and the 2+2 program? Perhaps someone on here has info on this?
SO just another observation (and I apologize for my excessive posting on here lately-- it's my nerves typing), considering that web registration for Spring 2016 students begins next Monday, November 23, I am ASSUMING that students who are indefinitely accepted will all hear back by the end of this week... just because they would want to begin class registration for those students. Eh, just another one of my theories that don't always prove to be right most of the time haha
