lol, I think I may have been looking at the wrong row this whole time! My application status says "complete and ready for review", but my decision status says "committee ready"....so I hope this means that they are reviewing my application?

It does, or nearly so. Yours will be reviewed with all the others that have been committe ready.

Thank you! I emailed them back saying I can take it over the summer. Do they send that email to everyone or just the applicants who will be accepted? sorry if my questions annoy everyone, I'm trying to stay positive, but its hard all my life people have been telling me I wont be worth anything, and I just want to prove them wrong. Too much info, but im sure someone could relate. Thanks

They send notifications to any students who are missing a prerequisite course whose application is otherwise complete.

I just checked my application and there is finally another row for decision status, and it says committee ready...Not sure what this means yet but I'm happy that my application has at least been updated after several months.

Hey guys,

Congrats to those of you who got accepted already!! I finally can sort of breathe seeing that I am "Committee Ready". It was stressing me out seeing that "Complete And Ready for Review" since January. Although I've seen that it doesn't necessarily mean anything, but still it helps to see some progress lol. I have applied to Bowie, but I honestly do not want to go there and I hope that I will not have to. I will also be applying at MC since that's where I'm doing my prereqs. I also heard that MC has a really good reputable program. If it wasn't for the time factor I wouldn't mind going there at all.

Hi Em843, I also applied to Montgomery College (I just sent in my application). Do you know anything about the application process for MC? This is my first time, so I was wondering if you knew stuff like how competitive, when we find out decisions, etc... Thank you

Sorry I don't know anything. I didn't even attend an info session for MC. I do have a friend in the program who says it's a lot of work. Sorry I'm not more helpful!

It's totally fine! I did hear that MC admissions was kind of based off of TEAS scores and whether you finished your prereqs or not, more or less. UMSON is obviously my first priority but I would be thankful if I could get in to MC if it doesn't work out. Thanks and good luck!!

FYI - Those who are planning to apply to AACC's ASN-RN Program:

I suggest (even if this is your back up school) that you get your apps in ASAP. I got in to their program, and even though I turned in my application in December I am in for SPRING 2015. That is over a year from the time I applied! Due to their rolling admission policy they have a pretty long list of students to get into their program. Just wanted to let those of you who are planning to apply know, do not wait!

Hope you are all doing well as we wait for UMSON's decisions to roll out! I'll remind those of you who are anxious to take your CPR classes and get started on the vaccinations :)
