UMSON Fall 2014

Published

Deadline is set - February 3, 2014

Who is applying?

Salisbury and Towson

I only applied to UMSON.. and I am starting to get really nervous :)

I only applied to UMSON and I am very anxious! If I don't get in I will apply to AACC's nursing program, but hopefully I won't have to

I know Greylady said not to worry too much about the status message, but just FYI, mine still says "complete ready for review"...I'm trying not to be concerned until around mid-April, which was when my status had changed the last time I applied.

Same here. Considering applying to other colleges just so i have a backup plan

Me too. But maybe CCBC's program instead.

Oh and what other schools did you all apply to?

I applied to Salisbury and Towson. I'm currently not taking my application to Coppin State seriously but I don't really wanna go there.

I also applied to Montgomery College. If I don't get into UMSON, I will do MC and then apply for RN-BSN program. I really hope to get into UMSON though. I've been obsessively checking my status even though I know we probably won't hear anything until April.

UMSON is the only school I applied to. Yes, I did put all my eggs in one basket, but only after researching other schools in the area. Hopkins was an option, but then they eliminated their traditional BSN program. I also considered Towson, Georgetown, Coppin State, and local community colleges. Maryland was, by far, the best match for me and my goals.

Hi Em843, I also applied to Montgomery College (I just sent in my application). Do you know anything about the application process for MC? This is my first time, so I was wondering if you knew stuff like how competitive, when we find out decisions, etc... Thank you

Hello Husky2011

I am actually finishing my prerequisites at MC, and I was informed that decisions will be made at the end of May for the Nursing School. I asked about the number of candidates, and they told me that they can only inform that after April 1st.

Last semester I took Microbiology with two students that have been accepted to the Nursing School at MC, and one of them was accepted with a GPA of 2.9 and TEAS of 69%; but of course, it can vary and this year the pool of candidates can be totally different.

Hi gigi-us! Thank you for all the information!
