I applied to Towson and I got my acceptance letter wednesday!

Congrats!!!! If you don't mind, can you tell me your GPA and Teas. I got rejected and not even waitlisted. I have overall 3.7 GPA , 3.6 science GPA , teas 79%. I guess because of my Teas

Thank You! I have an overall 3.8 GPA and a 4.0 science GPA. I heard that around 270 people applied and only 72 got accepted. I am still waiting on UMSON though because it is definitely my first choice!

Oh also I got an 82% on the TEAS

I applied to Towson and was accepted also but to Hagerstown (still not sure if that was a blessing or a curse because of the lack of housing!).

Re: towson stats - I graduated from TU, and I have an overall GPA of 3.31 (natural sciences major). My prereq/science GPA is quite a bit higher, but I haven't actually bothered to calculate it. My teas V was 90, or advanced. I'm under the impression that Towson does regard teas scores quite highly; I think I remember someone in the department telling me that they had found it to be a very good indicator of success in their program (higher teas scores being strongly correlated with successful completion). It's unfortunate that a standardized test can make or break your application - it sounds like your grades were probably better than mine. If you decide to apply again, I'd try to get that score up, and possibly also apply for the hagerstown campus, or for the spring start (instead of the fall, which is always more competitive.) My guess is the first round of calls will start going out tomorrow (April 1). Remember, while people may start hearing tomorrow it's very likely most of us will hear more towards the middle of the month and beyond. Can't wait to see the posts start rolling in about your acceptances!
