UMSON DNP FALL 2021

Hi all! ?

I am making this thread for all UMSON DNP candidates for Fall 2021! I'm applying to the Family NP option. Anyone else applying? Good luck to all! 

Has anyone who applied for AGACNPheard anything? Has anyone who applied for acute interviewed?

I haven’t heard anything. Most of the comments I’ve seen has been FNP

Does anyone know what the UMPortal is for? I know they made us create an account, but I don't know why they asked us to.  Has anyone really used it or has received updates on their application through the portal?

Hi! I only got access to SURFs & the e-mail account, I do not recall any platform by the name of UMportal...

Is there anyone else who has yet to receive an interview? My application moved to committee review on the 10th and I’m applying for the Psych speciality...

I have yet to hear anything about the interview. My application went committee review on the 3rd and I haven’t heard anything. Did apply late though. IDK how that plays into things.

My status has been in committee review since the 3rd of January and no word about an interview either. I'm trying to figure out plan B at this point ?

Tnguyen225, give some time... When they offered admission for psych they gave either 12 or 15 days for a response, so, who knows, let's say they sent a letter of acceptance to someone on February 15th, they still have until the March 1st or so, and if they decline, then a slot becomes open? All based on assumptions here, as I do not work for the school, but just guesswork...

I do feel slightly nervous as they said that interviews would go on until mid-February....the month is coming to an end so I’m less optimistic.

That is definitely a possibility. I appreciate your optimism! I'm keeping my fingers crossed ?

I was under the impression we would find out by now if we got in or not? Did anyone hear something different?

If you’re in the pool of people that haven’t heard something yet (like me), in my opinion it is safe to have a plan B option (like me who is choosing a online MSN program instead) in case it doesn’t work out. Best of luck ya’ll! :)
