Hi All! I wanted to see who has applied for UMSON for the fall 2019 Semester. I have applied for the Baltimore campus. I am very nervous, as I retook two classes, so my current overall GPA of 3.75 will go down to a 3.3 as they factor that in. For an overall science GPA, mine is an 3.8. On the TEAS, I received a 73.3 overall, Having and 82 on the reading, and 87 on math. I also have experience at a nursing home that I currently work at now. Has any one else applied? Which campus? I have also heard that UMSON takes long to get back and most won't hear until April. I turned in my application on Jan 29., and I keep looking like they would have already said something hahah. Hope to hear back soon!
I ended up switching to Shady Grove. I thought long and hard about it and when I visited the campus it was so much more inviting then the Baltimore campus. The staff and the program manager is way nicer. Also I feel like I missed out on the “college atmosphere” since I went to community college and shady grove just had that energy I wanted. Baltimore has more of a graduate school seriousness.

I hope all works out for you! I am still on/off the fence but I wasn’t sure about the living situation there but I can’t live at home so I am just going with baltimore for the fact that I know they have places for students to stay at. I have also been to Salisbury so & kind of had that college energy already but I am just hoping I did not make the wrong choice with baltimore.

I applied to USG as well. For me it was mostly a distance thing since I live in Clarksburg. I already did the whole university ordeal but I am glad to hear that it still has that atmosphere.
In case you didn't know there is an online chat at 10 am (in 20 min) for the BSN program. I just found out here's a link to join

Tbh no, it was just saying like what you needed on your application to get in, what your grades should be, and some things about financial aid like how you can apply for the conway scholarship. it was pretty much stuff we already knew

I sat in on the BSN chat and they're still saying May 1st for decisions. Otherwise they pretty much just talked about the school, the program, tuition and fees, how to apply, scholarships, etc, and answered questions. There's also an Open House on April 6th too for the BSN program.
