UMSON Baltimore/Shady Grove BSN FALL 2019

Hi All! I wanted to see who has applied for UMSON for the fall 2019 Semester. I have applied for the Baltimore campus. I am very nervous, as I retook two classes, so my current overall GPA of 3.75 will go down to a 3.3 as they factor that in. For an overall science GPA, mine is an 3.8. On the TEAS, I received a 73.3 overall, Having and 82 on the reading, and 87 on math. I also have experience at a nursing home that I currently work at now. Has any one else applied? Which campus? I have also heard that UMSON takes long to get back and most won't hear until April. I turned in my application on Jan 29., and I keep looking like they would have already said something hahah. Hope to hear back soon!

Unfortunately, it didn't really have any useful info. I was hoping they would elaborate on when decisions will be made or why it's taking so much longer than last year. I guess it's just a waiting game now

I sat in on the BSN chat and they're still saying May 1st for decisions. Otherwise they pretty much just talked about the school, the program, tuition and fees, how to apply, scholarships, etc, and answered questions. There's also an Open House on April 6th too for the BSN program.

Where is the open house held? Is it for the Baltimore location?

This is very helpful! Thanks a bunch! I was looking through previous threads from fall 2018 UMSON applicants and it looks like ppl started getting their acceptances in the first week of April. The first recorded one was April 5th! So brace yourselves because I’ll defo be checking everyday next week haha

Does anyone know if it's possible to get an admit-institution acceptance if you are currently taking two last prerequisites? I definitely want to finish with B's/A's but I just wanna know if I have some cushion to get a C if something happens. I know most people get provisional admission so they have to get at least a B on their prerequisites.

Maybe I didn’t understand your question but as long as you’re taking any classes whatsoever during the admission process I think you will still get “provisional-admit” if you’ve been accepted which means u have to get a B in those classes whether the last prereq is micro or American history.

Does anyone know when we’ll hear from the Conway Scholarship? I tried looking for some info but can’t really find anything. Do they let you know if you weren’t approved?

I asked about this when I sat in on a BSN chat last month. They said you find out about Conway Scholarship at the same time as your acceptance
