I will be applying for the Fall 2011 program at UMB really really soon. I was wondering if anyone else was doing the same...? I'm really nervous about applying because Anatomy really kicked my butt last semester and I ended up getting a C (even though I ended up doing really well on my other science courses). Now, I'm losing hope. Anyone feeling the same?
Hi! There was a lot of word problems. Math isn't my strongest area either, but it was one that is scored the highest on. It is pretty easy math; nothing like finding the area of a circle/geometry or anything using the Pythagorean Theorem. It was a lot of simple adding and subtracting, if you can believe that! The TEAS study manual did prepare me well for the math. As long as you study that, you will do fine! :)
AbbeyT and Kynchanted, congrats are great Teas scores! I will be taking the Teas soon and I wanted to know how did you study? Which study guides did you use?
Hi Misstekaboo,
I actually didn't know they were giving version V, so I read only the version four study guide. The test that I took was quite different than the version 4 study guide. I think that might be the reason that I didn't score that well. The reading part was a littel too much for me and I couldn't finish all the questions; I was out of time ( another reason for my poor performance..). Anyway, I wish you all the best.

I am still waiting on my last letter of recommendation! I am really starting to panic at this point since it is due in 2 days! My teacher said she was working on it Friday and I told her to email it in since she lives in Belgium and there is no way it will make it to MD from Bastogne in 2 days. Hoping she already emailed it in and UMD just hasn't updated my status yet...but my other letter was emailed in on Friday morning and it is already reflecting.... (That is sweat not tears!). This is the last thing I need for my app....I am a nail biter (trying to quit) and it is taking everything in me to not eat my hand right now!
Wow, it's February 1st! Congratulations to everyone for your hard work getting to this point. I am a second semester CNL student at UMB Baltimore campus. That means I was in your shoes exactly a year ago today. I know the wait can be agonizing (go ahead and read through past semesters' threads if you don't believe me).
Like Grey Lady suggested earlier in the thread, try to focus on doing well in your last few pre-reqs, and getting organized for what lies ahead.
If you have any questions about academics or student life as the decisions start going out in the Spring, please feel free to PM me.
Best of luck to all of you!

Hi misstekaboo (again)! I forgot to add, I put TEAS V into the search engine on this website and came up with a lot of info. Maybe try that to get some more insight as to what is on the TEAS or what others thought of it. There was some chem on the test, but nothing really advanced. I think the TEAS study guide did help with the chem. This is my worst subject but ironically I did the best on the TEAS in that section and worst in biology (which I always do well in). It may ease your mind some to read what others have to say about it. Good luck to you as well! :)
