UMass Worcester GEP Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! I didn't see a UMass Worcester GEP Fall 2019 thread so I thought I would start one. I submitted my application in September. The last I heard was they were going to start to review the applications they have in hand at the end of September and would at some point start extending interviews. In a past info session, they said they have a rolling admissions process. I haven't heard anything more since then, so I'm just sitting tight.

They called and asked me to interview on the 20th, but I can't due to a class :(. Instead I'm going on January 9th for FNP.

when did you submit your application?

You should look at Portage Learning--its online! I thought the class was very good and it was not expensive

when did you submit your application?

I submitted in October but didn't become complete until early December

Anyone who got in looking for a roommate? I'm looking at 2 bedrooms near the campus that are cat friendly.

I had my interview a few days ago on the 20th! Does anyone know what the chances of being accepted if you interview? Or do they interview everyone? I'm so anxious about the decession letter!

Hi Nursesrock2134! At the info session I think they said they interview about 2/3 of the applicants. What track did you apply for? I have heard in past years that if not accepted for your choice track it is possible to be offered another one as well. Good luck!

I also interviewed on the 20th - they accept 15 FNP 10 acute and 10 primary. They are going to do A vote on January 10 and another block interview on January 10. Some of us may hear the first week of January because they are trying to do you a mini vote before they have another batch of applicants.

Good luck!!

Thank you and FNP!

I interviewed on 12/20 for Adult Gerontology Primary. I think the interview went really well (of course I'm second guessing everything I said!). The interview made me feel even more excited about the program - I'm really hoping to get in!! I also applied to Simmons, University of VT and MGH, but UMass Med is now my top choice so fingers crossed!!

I'll be looking to share a cat friendly apartment - but need to get accepted first! :)
