UMass Worcester GEP Fall 2019

Published

Hi everyone! I didn't see a UMass Worcester GEP Fall 2019 thread so I thought I would start one. I submitted my application in September. The last I heard was they were going to start to review the applications they have in hand at the end of September and would at some point start extending interviews. In a past info session, they said they have a rolling admissions process. I haven't heard anything more since then, so I'm just sitting tight.

Hey, do y'all know if they're done with interviews and everything? Or what the timeline looks like now for those who submitted applications closer to the deadline like when they're making decisions and so on?

No idea - I'd recommend checking in with Diane B. Good luck!

I got in! Adult Geri/Primary Care.

Call Diane, she is super helpful! I do know that those who received offers only had a week to make their decision. There are 32 people on the waitlist.

I noticed that those who submitted their applications well before the deadline were offered interviews first.

I hope if someone sees this forum for the 2020 cohort they submit their application in advance of the deadline, it will give you an edge.

Do you know how responsive she is? I emailed her two days ago and haven't heard back. Is she more responsive to calls over emails? And there are 32 people currently on the waitlist, or that is the number of students they typically max at and put on the waitlist?

Hi all, did you all apply for the GEP-MSN or GEP-DNP? I applied for the DNP option and I haven’t heard anything, yet. Just wondering where all of you are at !

GEP-DNP. If you haven't heard anything yet hakutai839, I'd recommend contacting Diane!

Have you had any correspondence from Diane or the Graduate Admissions office in the near past regarding the status of your application?

Hakutai839, Yes, I had an interview on Dec. 20 and was accepted via phone right after Christmas. The actual letter of acceptance came in early January. If you haven't heard anything at all, I'd recommend contacting Diane. Good luck!

Thank you so much for getting back to me! This helps a help a lot, I’ll be contacting her soon. I Appreciate your responses! ? much congratulations on the acceptance!

If anyone hasn't heard anything I would definitely recommend reaching out. I hadn't heard anything, so I emailed Diane and she responded saying that they didn't have my GRE score report. I had sent it to the school when I took the exam and attached it to NurisngCAS but for some reason they didn't have it?

Within a week after that I was invited for an interview, and I had the interview yesterday.

So definitely reach out! There could be some confusion about something with your application.

Does anyone know what the chances of getting in off of the waitlist are and when they would make that decision?
