Anyone out there apply? I have seen threats for previous years, but none for this year. Just thought I would get one going!
OBrien- oh no! Better next luck time. You still stand a good chance. What other schools? I applied to Northeastern and got in but it was way too expensive and am still waiting to hear back from Simmons. :)
umbdude- I will definitely take you up on that offer if I do end up coming there. Would love to connect with fellow nursing peers before school starts. 90% coming in June if you would like to get in touch.
It's fantastic that a lot of you already have your foot in the doors at hospitals, heard it was pretty easy overall to land a job over there compared to Cali.
Also, heard from undergrad admissions that everyone should hear back by March 1st, but who knows!
I am sorry to hear OBrienMP, don't give up, another program is calling your name!
PS- I do know that Regis College has a program with Lawrence Memorial hospital where you can do your RN (associates) and then they just got approved for a bridge from RN to BSN, as well. It is more expensive, but that option is available my friend is attending in September.
Congratulations to everyone that has been accepted into the program!
I've checked my application status and it says "the committee has done an initial review of your application and you will be receiving a letter shortly", sooo nervous! I have no idea what this means, but it doesn't sound too promising.
I won't "give up". I have applications out at a few different schools. This is the 5th school that rejected me, and I have no idea why. I'm an honor student, president of the honor society at my school, I have 5 years of experience some of which is in an ICU, and I balance work and life pretty damn good. I'm just confused about what schools are looking for in a candidate, not that any of you that got in are not qualified applicants...I'm just confused. Every nurse, doctor and tech tells me I will be a fantastic nurse, but yet I'm not the the one getting into programs. It's frustrating. But, alas, I will keep chugging along.
Yeah, I have no idea. I'm just trying not to think about it until I get my letter. It's weird because I'm actually from MA, I'm just temporarily out in Washington finishing up some personal business. Ugh. I just hate not knowing....and relying on a status update! Good luck, though! And seriously congrats to all that get/got accepted!

My status was updated to a decision has been made. But my major was changed to Exercise Science...so I'm pretty sure I didn't get into the nursing program. Bummer. Still waiting on a few more schools tho!
