I work in a partnership and have systems in place when I'm in clinical, I did this through nursing school. I would never do it under the radar. I wondered if there's a program that allows it.

I'm a cpm and have been for the last 10 years. I've also just graduated from nursing school with my bsn. I know Frontier has explicit language prohibiting one from working as a midwife (cpm) while in their program. Does anyone know of the other distance programs whether it's a hard no to practice as a cpm while in the program? I've been steadily attending births and don't want to stop entirely. Any insight is so appreciated!

How do you know already what classes you are taking?

Hmm, is that for the traditional option? I'm going to orientation on Thursday, the 1st. Excited!

I think what I heard from a previous student was about "clinical calculations competency" exams and you have two tries to pass with 100%. If you dont pass, you cannot enter the clinical portion and often not continue the program. I thought this student said it was early on that this test occurred but maybe thats incorrect. I do have a friend in a community college program and last year in the first week of classes, they were issued a similar type if exam. Impromptu math exams make me nervous!

Thanks, I got in to umass boston, and I'm psyched, but I really wanted to get into bcc. Its alot closer, cheaper. if I did get in off the waitlist, it will be a really hard choice! Good problem to have I suppose.

I'm nervous and disappointed and happy for all that got in! I called admissions and was told that acceptance, denial and waitlisted letters will go out this week and next.She also mentioned that even if you don't see it on degreeworks, it doesn't mean its an automatic no. I dont know, I'm finding it hard to be hopeful.
