I started this thread to list websites that can be used as resources for those working in or looking to work in the United Kingdom. I have added the potential to list European sites that may be useful as well especially for any who might want to go on a working holiday.
I will start the thread but will rely on everyone to add to the thread:D
I hope this will grow to be a valuable resource for all.
Here is the Uk registration board
Here is a nursing resources search engine.
Here is another site
I'm an American nurse in the process of tyring to become registered as a nurse in England. I've gotten in touch with a few agencies in England who deal with nurses from abroad. I know that one agency does in fact refund you the fee for the ONP. But after taking the ONP, some nurses will need supervised practice which can be from 3 months or longer. When I spoke to the NMC, I was told that since I was a nurse trained in the US I would not need supervised practice even though I only have 14 months of experience. Hope this infor helps!
Yes thank you it gives me some hope. I have an American License and a Canadian License so hopefullly they will consider this although I am Canadian trained.
Hi guys,
I am not sure if this site was mentioned but www.scot.nhs.uk will list all of the jobs that come up . Good luck
This one is good for books in the UK (just for student nurses and midwives officially - but doesnt look like you have to prove you are still a student :-)

There's a lot of sites around that you dont have to prove you are a student I guess they rely on your integrity
wondering if you have heard of continental travelnurses, as a travel agency. they say that you only have to work in the UK for 3 months. is this possible with 20 day introduction course? any good or bad reviews about this company?thanks
The thing is you have to meet NMC requirements for a foriegn trained nurse which will take months. There are a lot of job redundancies and a lot of trusts (hospitals) are not using agency nurses and immigration have just changed and made it harder to get a work visa so would be interested in knowing how they plan to get round all the changes.
This thread is more for resources and would have been better posting as a new thread :)
