UK Nurse Registration Full Application and Assessment stage before OSCE

Published

Hi People

I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.

I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.

I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!

Hello,

i have a concern about my documents sent to NMC. I hav just discovered that there was a difference on date of commence on PRC (June 6) and from my college (june12). I'm bothered if this will affect my application?

did any one encountered the same problem?

Thank u

Hi. I already submitted all the required documents and these documents were already received by NMC as shown on my NMC online account. However, I cannot submit my online application because of my Saudi Police Clearance. I already secured all the requirements on the last week of November that are needed to obtain a new Saudi Police Clearance; however, my Authorized Representative was not able to process it because of her schedule that is why I needed to ask a different person to process it in my behalf and will take a few more weeks to process it. Can I just submit a scanned copy of my Saudi exit stamp on my passport? Will it affect my application in NMC? I really need some advise. Thank you.

Happy New Year Nurses! I just checked my application with NMC and I was worried when they labelled my docs "Document ReceivedRe submission" .. Do you guys know what this means? I mailed NMC about this and Im still waiting for their reply.

I also have the same situation before; when I asked my agent according this issue, she said that the "Document ReceivedRe submission" NMC already received the documents that were resubmitted. I think there is nothing to be worried about.

Hi. You can submit your exit stamp and muqeem as a replacement for saudi police clearance. However, you need to hv it translated to English before submission.

I would suggest to hv it translated by National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF). Their office is located along commonwealth. Don't forget to ask them to give you a declaration certificate that the translator is an authorized translator of Arabic to English.

thank you so much for your response mango1888. May I know what muqeem is? :cyclops:

Anyone had this happen?

I had my application assessed back in September- and further additional documents were requested. The NMC received these, but someone at the NMC, re-submitted my application online, and now all old correspondence has disappeared, and they are saying wait 70 days again. Why is this?! I just sent them my further requested documents, it isn't a new application.

Now I'm afraid they will think my police certs, refs, etc, are out of date. And should I have to wait 70 days again? Thanks

Hi! I think that too just happened to me few hours ago. I was patiently waiting for my DL "assuming" that i was put on queue on the dates i resubmitted my needed forms. When i called them earlier, they told me i need to hit the "submit" button. All these weeks of waiting and im feeling terrible right now.

Muqeem is the piece of paper that the HR stapled in my passport. It contains the exit visa number, passport number, name of my sponsor and the position that I worked for in Saudi Arabia (nurse). It also has the date the visa was released. Please please please don't forget to ask for a declaration letter from NCMF so that you'll be spared the hassle of resubmission.

I don't think I have this paper. 😔 My previous employer did not even give us an exit visa. Maybe i need to check again my documents from saudi.. 😊 Did NMC ask for additional documents aside from translated exit stamp?

Actually, what nmc told me via email is only exit stamp. I just included the muqeem.

Hello.

I need guidance and opinion.

I had 2 years experience here in the PHILIPPINES (800 bed capacity hospital) and worked in SAUDI ARABIA for 2 years.

I decided to work in UK so I took the IELTS and passed, now I am reviewing for CBT.

However, my friends are telling me not to declare my work in SAUDI ARABIA as it will only give me headache soon during registration.

What should I do? I made sure that I had all the documents before I left the Kingdom ie Police Clearance, Certificate of Good Standing from MOH, Employers certificate and No objections certificate.

What problems I might encounter during registration? Will I have documents in the future that I need my Saudi Employers to sign to proceed in my registration as I think something like that would really give me headache since Saudi people do things on their pace (which is really slow)

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Do not lie to the NMC. If they ask for work experience and there is a gap they may ask you about it
