I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
Please help me with this. What additional requirement do I need to send. Should the follow-up document be sent thru courier or email?
"We require an official Transcript of training from your university provided in clock hours for both clinical and theoretical components.You have only provided the RLE hours, theory is mentioned only in units. If your university can provide a key for converting units to hours please provide that with a blank Form to accompany transcript of training downloaded from your portal."
Hi I'm also wary about this, I have yet to send my docs to NMC and the university registrar can only provide the hours for the RLE. However the form to accompany transcript is filled out completely by a staff at the deans office including the clinical and theoretical hours. Please update me if you have successfully requested the conversion of units to hours. Thank you!!
Does the nmc take more than two weeks before they will post in the portsl if they have received the documents? I'm worried because it's already more than teo weeks since i have sent my papers and still no feedback from them..

I have sent them an email to check of they have received my docs, this was their reply:
" In regards to your verification, I checked your portal and we haven't received that document on your file yet. Please allow up to 15 working days from the date of receipt for documents to be scanned and allocated to your file."
That is 15 working days so Saturdays and Sundays don't count
Yes, I requested for the conversion of my theoretical units to hours on our university registrar and sent it to NMC. On queue last Nov 16, NMC requested for this additional document last Nov 24, sent back the document to NMC Nov 25 and got my DL Dec 5.

It has to have been issued within 3 months of when you submit your application- so yes a new one unfortunately
Then the procedure will be easier for u. U cam go straight to UK to apply as u said. Buy I recommend that it will be better if theres already a waiting employer for u. U can email some agencies or hospitals there and tell them ur situation. I think they will probably entertain your application since you have some edge which will give them some advantages too! Would u like to email my agency? They r UK based and I assure that they will help u all through out. You can even tell them which location u wish to work.

seddie151 & iampresrn my suggestion would be to use the entry visa first. There are very strict rules around restricted tier 2 visas now (for nurses).
These rules are that you MUST take your first attempt 3 months from the start of employment (very hard when you have come to a new country that you have to orientate to).
Your second and successful attempt MUST be taken 8 months from the start of employment.
If not successful on second attempt, some sponsors will cancel your sponsorship as there has to be a 6 month gap between 2nd and 3rd attempt. So leave to remain would only be possible if the second attempt was at month two and a half...crazy!!
in terms of sponsor, seek out one who has the best package of OSCE prep who will intensively work with you to success. That doesn't mean tabloid PR successes, with pics of nurses. What you want to know is the detail of the programme.

Hi there nurses. I am an aspiring UK nurse from the Philippines and just recently passed the CBT. I just have a question regarding my NMC application. Unfortunately, I've uploaded photocopy of the needed documents for the assessment stage . I already deleted them and uploaded new documents which are the original copies on PDF format but every time I try to download and check if they're the new uploaded docs, I always see the photocopy ones instead of my new uploaded documents. I already tried to resize my files and tried to use another computer with faster internet connection but I still can't seem to fix the problem. Anyway, I still haven't officially submitted my files because of this problem. I hope you can help me to solve this. I am hoping for your response. Thank you and God bless.
