UK Nurse Registration Full Application and Assessment stage before OSCE

Published

Hi People

I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.

I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.

I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!

Finally got my DL!!! Anyone here who is coming from middle east or somewhere else and will be directly hire from where u r instead of Philppines? From UKVisa guidelines, if u r leaving in a country with low tb prevalence, you dont need to do tb screening. Im here in Oman and my employer advised me not to go back to Philippines so I dont need to undergo comprehensive medical exams. Any one who experienced the same case as mine?

Hi! I have sent all the downloaded documents last month to UK. Will this message confirm that they already have the documents I submitted from ph?

"Thank you for submitting your application. We will contact you by email once your application has been assessed. We aim to assess your application within 40 working days and commit to doing so within a maximum of 70 working days from entry to the queue."

If not how will I know if they already have my docs? or if Im already in queue for their assessment. THank you so much!!!

That message would mean that you have already submitted your application through the portal. Regarding your downloaded forms, it needs to have a "This documents has been received" beside every download link of the forms. You can also check that through My Applications tab. It will indicate there the forms and the details when they have received it.

Hello. May i please know when you were put in the assessment queue? Thanks

Hi! May I know how you managed to get your Saudi Verification of Registration?when and where?and did you also ask for a certificate of unlicensed practice?because i started working in saudi last 2011 but my then employer was only able to register me by april 2012. Thanks!

Hi! just sharing...I passed the CBT last March 16, submitted almost all of the requirements by April 30 except those from Saudi Council and Saudi employer :(. Around June 4, finally completed everything, and by June 11 NMC emailed me that I am now on the assessment queue and will have to wait 70 days or more for the result. Still waiting, hope to hear a positive response from them soon! ^_^

Hi, may i ask when and which branch of saudi council did you process your verification of registration?and did the nmc also asked you, like many ex-saudis, for a certification of unlicensed practice?this is due to the fact that i started working in saudi july 2011 but my employer was able to accomplish my registration april of 2012. Thanks in advance!

hi! I also encountered this problem. do you already have a solution for this?? thanks!

Hi everyone! I am also aspiring to work as UKRN í ½í¸€ I am currently in the Full Assessment and Application Stage, but still on the process of accomplishing the necessary requirements. I am done with the Referee 1 & 2 forms, as well as the Good Health Declaration. My school is still on the process of making my TOR and RLE records ☺

I also want to ask about the form to be given to PRC. Anyone here knows where should I forward the form the PRC should accomplish? Would it be better if I myself will be the one to send it to NMC instead of the PRC? Thaaaanks

When u findih the reference forms, send it immediately by yourself. Prc will send it by themselves too... your school might ask u to sent it but dont forget to ask for official envelope.

R u at present in UK now? If u r, i think you vann immediately apply for osce, once you receive your dl, there will be instructions to follow there. However if u r somewhere out of UK, steps will be quite complicated since u need to have visa first to come to UK

Hi thanks for your response.

I am in Australia however I am holding off booking flights due to waiting for the decision letter. I have contacted uni of Northampton and they have given me available dates, although they have not indicated I can sit the osce without the decision letter issued first. Also, in terms of visas (being Australian) I thought that we normally would go through on just an entry visa, which is normally 3-6 months duration and then I would have to apply for a job, which would grant me a Tier 2 (General) visa? Let me know if there are any other visas I could apply for...
