UK Nurse Registration Full Application and Assessment stage before OSCE

Published

Hi People

I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.

I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.

I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!

i had to re-upload my birth cert and college diploma? did your friend called nmc and gotten a feedback that she might ahve to wait 40 more days?

yes she called the NMC and they said that it will be assessed immediately, and after 2days she got her DL. I guess it will really depend on the assessor.

i called them 4 times on different days and unfortunately they all said that i will be sent back to the queue.

may i know was your friend's DL recently received? when she re-uploaded the file did it reflect the same instruction to wait for 40-70 days?

sorry to bother you, it's just frustrating \

I have submitted my online application and sent all remaining documentation in (refs, good health etc) although I have noticed in the last few days that I cannot access my online application to see if the documents sent have been received and uploaded. It is saying the server is down. Has anyone else had this problem? I am concerned that I won't be able to access my application to see if they have received everything or know where it is at..it has just come up with a message that my application will be processed in 40 - 70 days. Can anyone tell me current processing times and if they have had the same server error message? Thanks!

Online portal submitted - June 08, 2016

NMC received my School docs/Employer 1/Employer 2 & Cert of Good Health - June 13, 2016 (Uploaded to my portal June 28, 2016)

NMC received my Registration Authority Verification (Middle East) - June 03, 2016 (Uploaded to my portal June 20, 2016)

NMC received my RAV from PRC - June 20, 2016 (Uploaded to my portal July 05, 2016)

So basically, I'm on queue since July 05. One month now and still no feedback.

hi nursecardio, Id like to clarify when you mentioned in this post that "NMC received your documents..." does this only mean it has already been delivered by your courier as reflected in the tracking number given to you?

and how can we know once NMC already "uploaded the docs" in the portal?

Im just quite worried now because my PRC documents were delivered to them last 2nd week of september and upto now still no updates from them while all my other documents were sent 2 weeks ago but only the reference forms from my 2 employers and the declaration of good health had a "This documents has been received" text reflected in my portal.

Hi sofiebear. Count 10 to 15 days from the day your documents were delivered to the NMC office via courier for the uploads. For instance, your PRC form was delivered on September 10, start counting on September 11 as day 1 and wait until day 15 for the whole upload of each of your document so, your PRC doc. must be uploaded on or before September 25. (for example only) lol i don't know the exact date :D Hope this helps.

Hi everyone. I am about to apply for visa but i have the English ielts not the Ukvi and my recruiter is saying I should use it like that. And also submit my Bsc degree. I am worried it will be a problem for me. Who has experienced this and any advice? Thanks

if you only have a regular academic IELTS then definitely you have to take a UKVI academic IELTS for visa application.. you only have to score a 4 in all subtests for you to use it for visa application

I'm taking my resit on OSCE this week and am very nervous. Has anyone passed yet?

Dear Jazzmineee,

Many people are passing OSCE but the rate of success at second sitting remains higher than at the first.

Do you have a sense of what you did well last time and what you could improve upon?

What is your main fear?

Happy to talk on the phone if that would help...send me a message if so

Hi. I passed the IELTS in 2 sittings and I am trying to register in NMC but the eligibility page doesn't have an option for the second result of my IELTS. How I do complete this page? First IELTS results won't be accepted because I have a score of below 7. Can anyone please help me. Thank you.

How about you make a new application then you can enter the new trf number for ur ielts?

God is good!!! I finally received my DL today. Questions, is the Univeristy of Northhampton the only one conducting the osce? They told me to call this UNi for my part 2 exam?
