Hi People
I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
Just wondering, can I register with the NMC as a paed RN with a general (we don't have different fields, mental/paeds/adult/learning disabilities the way UK do) bachelor of nursing degree from australia? I did 5 months of paeds clinical placement (surgical + medical + oncology)?
And can I practice as a NP in oz with a NP qualification from the UK? thx.
Hello! Is anybody in London (UK) and looking for some study buddies? I'm an RN from Canada, writing my OSCE on the 26th and would love to join a study group! PM me if you're interested :)
GOOD LUCK!!!!!! (I'm a Canadian nurse too, still waiting for my documents to be fully assessed though, very anxious to get this show on the road!)
Oh gosh... I clearly do not know how to maneuvre this website. I'm a Canadian nurse with a British partner, and currently waiting for all of my documents to be fully 'assessed' and get the go ahead for my OSCE. I'm starting to stress pretty badly about the OSCE (just where it is obviously so much money - as you all clearly know and feel my pain). I feel quite confident in my skills, but worry about getting caught up on something small that might be overlooked. I'm wondering if any of you lovely people who have taken the OSCE (or are about to take it) would be willing to email me (I can't PM on here it seems) and give me any pointers, or things they found surprising about the exam, or what caught them off guard type of thing. I would really appreciate the help, I feel like at this point my relationship really needs some good news from the NMC haha. My email is [email protected] - if you could put the subject as NMC OSCE prep (so I know it isn't spam). Hope to hear from someone soon!! Thanks and GOOD LUCK to everyone writing in the next few weeks - I know there are a few of you : )
can you send email [email protected]
