I’m surprised that no one has created a forum for Cohort 2021 yet when application opens in a few weeks. Anyone here planning to apply to Manoa’s GEPN ‘21 program or is already in the program willing to give advice? Pointers? Feel free to share ??⚕️
I know I am sooooo late in applying but honestly just learned about the program. I have all my nursing pre-regs as I was previously a pre-nursing student (all A's and few B's). I am graduating with my BSW Spring 21' and am wondering my chances. I am an army veteran (5years in the medical field) and my current GPA is 3.73. however, my first two years of college when I was active duty was mostly c's. Im wondering how much that would hurt my chances... also which track I have the best chance for. Thanks!
For the UH graduate division application did everyone send official transcripts? If yes, where did you send them? I can't find it in the search when I'm trying to send my transcripts. On the UH graduate Division website it says "Applicants may submit unofficial copies of transcripts while applying for admission. However, admitted students are required to submit official transcripts in order to enroll at UHM. " But I got an automated email from Chris when I submitted the nursingCAS application saying I have to submit official transcripts to the Graduate Division now?

Contact Grad Services at [email protected] and they should be able to direct you with who and where to send your official transcripts. Good luck!
For people who know someone who completed the program, I was wondering if you guys could share how the pre-licensure year is like.
I know that for the first semester, students do clinical on the weekend — so we are expected to commit 6-7 days a week. I wonder what the hours are like though. Also, how possible it is to balance school and social life.
Any advices before we start the program? We have 8 more months left before Fall 2021!

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted, I’ll be seeing you all in then DNP-FNP program. Mainly here to help answer some questions (to my best abilities) if anyone has.
Hey thanks for joining and answering questions! Wondering if you can speak to some/any details regarding the first GEPN year and the "6-7 days per week" commitment that was mentioned in the info sessions. Thanks!
