I’m surprised that no one has created a forum for Cohort 2021 yet when application opens in a few weeks. Anyone here planning to apply to Manoa’s GEPN ‘21 program or is already in the program willing to give advice? Pointers? Feel free to share ??⚕️

I applied on Oct 10. I got an email that my application was under review on Oct 19. Finally, I received my admission letter on Nov 20.
Hope this helps timeline wise

It does yeah! It's only been a little over a week since mine went into review so my fingers are still crossed!

I got an email october 23rd but never heard back about decisions. so I emailed admissions and chris said they will release decisions soon. I think I got denied bc some people already got accepted.
I accidentally applied for the Master of Science in Advanced Population Health Nursing track instead of the FNP track smh.
anyone who applied for the MS APHN track hear back or ... ?

I got an email from Chris about 2 weeks ago that we would have to take 2-3 classes from UH Manoa ONLY to qualify for the BSN track after our prelicensure year.
Yes I have already registered for classes

Aloha! I submitted my application to the GEPN-DNP (FNP) on October 12, and the graduate division released my application to the nursing division on November 13. I'm still waiting to see if I'm selected.
I thought I'd share a bit about myself because it's helped me to see the credentials of others who are waiting and certainly those who've been selected (Congratulations to everyone who has been selected!).
I have a BSPH with a 4.00 GPA. I began and completed the degree this year. I've completed the Microbiology lecture, Nutrition, Research & Writing, and Anatomy & Physiology I courses with a 4.00 GPA. I'm currently enrolled in the other prerequisites. Recently, I enrolled in an accelerated M.ED program and will complete my M.ED before August.
I've served as a medical missionary and volunteered in my community for the past ten years. I live on Oahu and plan to stay in Hawai'I for the rest of my life. Unlike many who have been accepted, I lack professional experience in hospitals and clinics.
If I'm not accepted this time, I'll be reapplying next year. This is my dream and I will not give up.
Best of luck to all! If (like me) you are entering the holiday season feeling anxious, know that you are not alone.
A quick question to those who are accepted and taking the BSN option, which additional classes at UH are needed?

Great to see you are not giving up! As far as the BSN option those of us who completed classes at Manoa don't need to take anymore classes for this option. We can just ask them to petition on our behalf given that we complete the pre-licensure year.
