Hello!
I noticed that there isn't a thread yet for all of us who are thinking about applying next summer for UF's Accelerated BSN. I know it's only June but I can't be the only one who is already stressing about the application process, the essays, not being good enough, etc. ?
Hopefully this thread can be a place where we can ask questions and support each other throughout the process!
A little about me: I currently attend UF as a Health Education major and would love to stay here and study at the Gainesville campus, but if I get into the Jacksonville one I will gladly go there! They're also requiring the HESI exam this year and I was wondering if anyone knew any tips and tricks. I've only ever heard of the TEAS! I find it so interesting that this one tests our anatomy/physio knowledge, but also kinda frightening because anatomy at UF was a nightmare for me LOL.
Good luck ya'll! We got this!
When should you look for housing and how hard is it ? I will be graduating 1 week before starting if I am accepted (praying and hoping I am)

I want to get a MSN/MPH and then do policy alongside working

Dpat011 Jax or GNV?? I would start doing research now ( mapping out neighborhoods, price, proximal location to class and hospital etc) . Last year's thread had some recommendations I believe for JAX. They have alot more pages than our thread but if you have time to skim through it has some great info.

I said I would be fine with either or. Do most people have roommates ? I do currently at USF but Im not sure about how more likely people are in regards to the program. I have friends that recommend it because it helped them do better.

I would say make a separate post after decisions come out to see if anyone in this forum is interested in sharing a space. Most people come back to the thread to share the good news of their acceptance. If we find out decisions in February, you have a few months to post and hopefully get some takers. It would be advantageous to have a roommate in the program. Some people maybe like me though, married with children so a roommate is not an option for me. P.S I am a USF Alumna!
Today is the deadline for the assessment!!
Hey everyone,
I applied last year and was denied. That knocked my confidence down and thought I was never getting into a nursing program. I got into JU ABSN and was close to starting but I couldn’t get a good co-signer for a loan so I had to forfeit my spot. I’m trying again & hopefully I will have better luck this time , but I’m not so confident anymore. When everyone received their email for the assessment, I never received one and I thought I was done with UF. But January 3rd came and my email came for the assessment and I was super excited to still be in the running. My hesi score is low, I made a 81% , my gpa is a 3.66 and I have a little experience in the medical field which I think if I had more it would give me a leg up. I’m not sure how well I did on the assessment because it was hard to chose between some answers.
im currently applying to JU and UNF and hopefully get accepted into one of these schools.

Hang in there.
Does anyone know when classes would start for the program?
