Hello!
I noticed that there isn't a thread yet for all of us who are thinking about applying next summer for UF's Accelerated BSN. I know it's only June but I can't be the only one who is already stressing about the application process, the essays, not being good enough, etc. ?
Hopefully this thread can be a place where we can ask questions and support each other throughout the process!
A little about me: I currently attend UF as a Health Education major and would love to stay here and study at the Gainesville campus, but if I get into the Jacksonville one I will gladly go there! They're also requiring the HESI exam this year and I was wondering if anyone knew any tips and tricks. I've only ever heard of the TEAS! I find it so interesting that this one tests our anatomy/physio knowledge, but also kinda frightening because anatomy at UF was a nightmare for me LOL.
Good luck ya'll! We got this!

hi! Do you know how many students apply to the Gainesville campus/ how many get accepted? Also, do you recommend this nursing program? Thanks!!
also, sorry for the late post- obviously everyone’s already taken the HESI for the application. But, you have to take HESI every semester to pass, & I would suggest doing as many practice questions as possible. They require you buy the HESI/NCLEX prep book from Elsevier on admission, & the sections in it are helpful throughout the program. There are many online apps & programs you can purchase that give you a wide variety of practice exams & questions which have helped many of us who are currently in the program!
As far as recommending the program...that is completely subjective. It is definitely not a good fit for everyone. It’s extremely difficult & you MUST be 110% prepared. This program requires your full commitment every single day. I have watched people slack off for a single exam in one class & end up being dismissed because of it. It takes more self-discipline than some are willing to commit, but you just have to keep pushing through.

Thanks and good luck ?
I just took it about an hour ago & it’s basically ranking statements that align most with you & your values in & out of the workplace. It took me a long time because I kept getting distracted, but it really shouldn’t take SUPER long
