UCSF New RN Grad Training Program 2014

Published

Hello, everyone! UCSF opened a couple of new RN Training Program for January 2014. Just wanted to start a thread. Did anyone else thought the application was abnormally short? I only attached a resume. Did you attach anything else? Good luck!

Where do you live db2xs?

Berkeley.

In any case, I called her over the weekend and she never got back to me. She just called to tell me that all the interview spots were taken and I am out of the loop. WTH :-\

I am pretty miffed.

Yeah. When I spoke with her on Friday she said that 20 or so people were called for pre-screen interviews and that they would call 5 people out of that 20 for interviews today (Monday) for 2 spots! I was so hoping that I would be one of those 5, but nope. Just another reject to add to the pile. :/ Well, I guess we can be assured that we are both great candidates and high five for being one of the 20 out of hundreds that applied to that unit! So sad though...it was my dream job.

can you be selected to interview for more than one floor? does anyone know?

Yes Rosie. Some people were.

no call for interview yet. maybe i should let this go now

Yeah. It would be so much better if there was a definite date for any job so we would know when to forget about it and move on.

Yaaah....considering all interviews are supposed to take place this week and I haven't received a call, I think it's safe to say UCSF is out for me. For those of you who got an interview, did you attach anything else in addition to your resume?

Cover letter and letters of rec.

Nope, just the cover letter and resume.

Neurology and Neurosurgery (8 Long) made offers this afternoon. There were 2 positions available on that unit, and I got one of them.

Med/Surg TCU (14 Moffitt) wraps up interviews tomorrow. There are 4 positions available on that unit. Decisions will be made at the end of this week or early next week.

I did not include any attachments -- just a resume.

Congrats amferma

Thanks, justanothernewgrad! Good luck to you.
