Hello all,
I am at the last semester of the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. I'm expecting to graduate in early Jan and plan to take the NCLEX early Feb and no later than late Feb. I would like to know the timeline for applying to UCSF's nursing new grad Spring program 2023. Any past experiences with UCSF to share will be greatly appreciated.

I just got that email too. Seems like they haven't really chosen what department we will be in yet

Not sure... Feels like it isn't definite for some reason

Just got a similar response, mine said that my application has been routed to the managers based on my preferences. It said that they will contact me within the next two weeks individually if they want to interview me, did not specify email or phone.
I listed ICN, Peds CVICU and Peds ICU. I'm sure these units are super popular so the managers will screen the people HR forwarded and then decide who they want to interview.

I'm guessing that's just a possiblity since some people selected to 2nd interview might turn it down so they need a pool of candidates to go to the next one in line?? I could be totally wrong though LOL probably depends on the unit, but at least it's a good sign showing we kinda passed the first interview
LAD said:It doesn't seem like it's guaranteed a second interview, guessing those routed just have the minimum requirements they're looking for. This is horrible because we don't know how many people were actually routed.
I just reread and realized what the email said. Why are they doing it like this :((( basically it's not even a step forward...
I don't know if this could be helpful but when I got the call first from the unit manager, she sounded like she already picked individuals and was waiting for a couple more to respond back to her.
I felt this way because she gave me two choices for interview slots when we were setting up the interview time/date. I know everything seems vague right now and it is super frustrating just waiting for their response. But imo other managers may work differently so do not give up your hopes just yet!
Also if someone finds out more about their interviewing process, please update us here!!
It seems like it is on a unit by unit basis. If all units had their second interviews set I feel like we would have wayyyyy more people on here saying they have their interview set. I think we will hear about second interviews for most other units in the next two weeks like the emails says! 3 days is a lot to coordinate this many interviews based on a top three preferences.
