UCSF New Grad Program 2023 Questions

Updated:   Published

Hello all,

I am at the last semester of the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. I'm expecting to graduate in early Jan and plan to take the NCLEX early Feb and no later than late Feb. I would like to know the timeline for applying to UCSF's nursing new grad Spring program 2023. Any past experiences with UCSF to share will be greatly appreciated.

Was anyones top choice Peds oncology? It seems most people who got that email to wait for an interview listed peds?

I did not! But all my choices were Peds.

If someone got one of the "moving forward" emails and asks for clarification or anything will you please update?

I'm pretty sure it's the same way as other programs where our applications are now with the managers and they will choose to either interview us or not based on interest/need.

Specializes in ICU/Med-Surg.

Does anyone know if UCSF health provides housing services...?

@ilovenursing_786 wait sorry you got the email but didn't apply for Peds oncology? But did apply to all other Peds unit?

I received the same email saying they forwarded my application to the hiring managers. My top choices were ICU, Ambulatory, and Adult medicine. Fingers crossed ??????

I got the email as well; I only applied to adults. I wish they were more straightforward on what this email means... My heart can't take the waiting ?

Oh okay! Then yah nevermind looks like it's not just Peds ?

Yeah it sounds like it's most units.

Looking at the Fall 2022 thread, I guess there's 3 interviews?

Do you guys know how many interview rounds there will be ?
