Hello all,
I am at the last semester of the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. I'm expecting to graduate in early Jan and plan to take the NCLEX early Feb and no later than late Feb. I would like to know the timeline for applying to UCSF's nursing new grad Spring program 2023. Any past experiences with UCSF to share will be greatly appreciated.
Good morning guys!
Is it normal to interview with panel of 9? This morning, they updated the zoom invite for next level interview and I found out (it was originally 3 people) but they added other department(which I guess they found interests in me?) directors/managers/staffs.
So that became a total of 9-10 interviewers now. This is kinda intimidating and has anyone interviewed with panel of 9? is this normal? ?

Some hospitals do have a lot of interviewers for the final round! El camino has a panel of 18 for their final round. They're there to know you better so try not to stress too much about it. You've gotten this far so they see potential in you—you got this! When is your interview exactly?

Yeah that'd def be intimidating, but you'll do great! I've had a panel of 6 at most. Are there other applicants in the same zoom?

This! You could potentially have many managers fighting for you! Goodluck!

As far as I know, it was only myself presenting from applicant part the rest was directors, unit managers, charge nurses/staff nurses and preceptors who will be responsible for precepting us for a while.

Good luck! You got this far for a reason!
do you mind sharing what units are you interviewing for ?
LAD said:Is this an MS floor? I think everyone is trying to figure out how many interviews the process will require!
I received invitations from MS floor first but later found out other unit directors also are coming to the interview. After doing my own research, I found out there are mix of Medsurg/Stepdown/critical care unit panels.
I have a feeling once you are routed to further consideration, the managers/directors look at you and if you they think you are a good fit, they show an intent to participate in final round interview as panel(And it seems to be at least a minimum of 3 panel director/manager/charge from each unit). So it can be multiple units that could be interviewing you for new grad position.
