UCSF MEPN 2016

Hello!

I know this is a bit early, but I'm planning to apply to the apply to the UCSF MEPN program (among a few others) this summer/fall. I've seen similar forums for past application periods, and thought it might be nice to get one started so we can start to bounce ideas and questions off each other.

Has anyone been to an open house? Any information worth sharing?

Nope, haven't heard anything either... I emailed her the day before the RSVP was due (the 5th?) and she didn't answer me either, besides saying that they got my RSVP.

Hi everyone!

Long time lurker, first time poster on this thread. The interview date is getting close! Not sure if you guys can answer this, but does anyone know the hours that we should block off? I have an interview at another school out of state the day before and I need to buy my flights and would love to know if I can the much cheaper but also much later flight back to SF :)

From what a previous commenter said, you're either assigned to come in the morning (8am) or afternoon (12pm) and there's an info session then specific interview times are randomly assigned to each candidate. So, there's really no saying until we get more info, unless you're willing to be up late before the 8am assignment!

I got the email as well, I am in the afternoon on the 29th! Now I just have to wait to hear from OHSU, because I would be interviewing with them on the 28th out of state....you would think that nursing schools would at least try to coordinate??

Haha, yeah just came back to post that I got my email as well! I'm the morning session. Glad to know we should come prepared with a computer/book/tablet/whatever. But honestly, I might be too nervous to read! Look forward to meeting everyone as well!

I am also interviewing at OHSU on the 28th! I scheduled my flight back for 9:00 PMish as I didn't want to run the risk of flights being even more expensive than they already are

We didn't really get an answer on this because other stuff came up, but what's everyone doing to prep for the interview?

I wish I had answers for you...If I did, I'd be 1/2 way through my first MEPN year! I'm just working on being able to articulate why this program is ideal for me, and why I'm a good fit...
