Hello!
I know this is a bit early, but I'm planning to apply to the apply to the UCSF MEPN program (among a few others) this summer/fall. I've seen similar forums for past application periods, and thought it might be nice to get one started so we can start to bounce ideas and questions off each other.
Has anyone been to an open house? Any information worth sharing?
Hey there, I know this post was really old but if you are still on here I'd love your input. I want to apply to the CNM program as well but I'm struggling wit how to find birthing experience. By the time I apply I will have 1.5 years of work as a clinic assistant alongside NPs at planned parenthood, but this is more WHNP stuff rather than midwifery. How did you and others in your program get labor and delivery experience before the program? I've even looked into CNA jobs but it seems like you don't get to observe much birthing.

Hey! I went to the open house. It was good, but not anything too variant from what's on the website. I met Steven Johnson who is the person you should contact regarding questions about the MEPN. It seems like they really offer a program that is catered to a range of specialties - so if you know what you want to specialize in - it should be a great fit!
I'm applying and about halfway through my application. I'm worried about my GRE score in math. I suck at math and got a 149! My verbal was good though and I think my writing turned out well. I'm nervous! Does anyone know of people that have been admitted with bad GRE math scores? After all, we're applying to NP school - I'm not trying to get a masters in math for heaven's sake!
What specialty are you applying to? I'm applying for PMHNP.
